Actually the router provided is full of problems. Just google and u will find many complaints
For my company, the router is nothing but trouble.. It will automatically disconnect from internet for about 1/2 minutes randomly (but router remain on, just no internet). It happened everyday for us....

Finally I changed the router to a spare TP Link and never face disconnect problem again

Hi, I have a bad connection with Time recently.
I have a so call intermittent connection issue, especially night time.
It is crazy that some time only manage to get 0.2~0.4mbps download speed with 5.5~5.9 mbps upload speed. Crazy, right? (my subscription is bundle with astro iptv, so i have 6mbps speed)

currently my torrent could not download and show proceed to peers and not functioning.
This just happen yesterday evening around 5.30. before this time, i have finished up 2 torrent download and 1 torrent 90%+ hang over show proceed to peers due to my Time not stable.

I had a page call kuai.xunlei.com could not proceed for around 2 years too. not sure is that block by Time  ??
not sure could anyone here help me on this?

I also need some recommendation on the router. the current router that i'm using is E1000 Cisco (free from Time)

Routers aside, I still think it's strange that before CNY my download speed could go beyond 1 MBps from filehosting websites and now it's barely go over 200 kBps. Any explanation on this?

I have call customer services justnow. He already try reset the connection from hos side but doesn't solve the problem. He give me a log number for my case. So now I just wait ? Anyway to keep track on my case?

I'm also having exactly the same problem as u, except the throttled speed is to my own server...

I suspect this is done on the RNC side which identified high bandwidth utilisation IP and throttled the connection speed, so regardless how many times restart router or changing to whatever IP the speed is still slow

I am all excited that my new condo complete with TIME Fiber.. Thread starter stated that they will provide ONU : Huawei HG8240 for fiber in door connection & router as Linksys E1200. I would like to use my own wifi router with 6 antenna to replace the linksys. May i know how to dial PPOE? Dialer string is 0,35 same like streamyx? Any VLAN need? How about the phone that they provided? Where it connects to?

Guys, off topic sikit ya. I am a happy 1+ year user of Time Fibre Broadband at home in Tg Bungah, Penang.

Am quite sick of the bloody Streamyx connections in my office in Georgetown, near Weld Quay. 3 lines and all are really sh1t. Slow, unstable, always disconnecting. Does Time provide any non-fibre internet connectivity solutions for areas without fibre coverage?

I really want to remove all traces of Streamyx from my office   

After getting quite good speed in the morning, download speed again is slowed down to not more than 200kbps.....

Bro maybe u didn't get it. I already say from few posts back I download from my OWN dedicated server. No other user on those servers. 1 of them is a 1Gbit server. Download speed is SLOWWWW. Until now it is not more than 200kBps

So finally I got pissed and called TIME. The answer is simple. As I've suspected, it's a peering issue. Undersea cable SMW4 is having some fault. Repair is already underway, expected to be finished by next Monday 16/3/15. In the meantime, TIME is re-routing traffic from Europe to US, which have massive data lost and so result in slow speed 

Let's hope this will be fixed ASAP..

Hmmm since u are telling the opposite of TIME customer service, perhaps can reveal what's the cause of this slowdown please

Before TIME solves this, it would be better to stay away from TIME. What's the point of having 100mbps or unmetered 30mbps when u can only download at not more than 200kbps no matter what package u on

I just realized today I can't access LINE Messaging (both in my phone & laptop) by using TIME FIBRE 100Mbps HOME BROADBAND. On the other hand, I can use LINE Messaging flawlessly by using Maxis.

Thankyou for your advise and my apology for not putting the details in the previous message.

Here are the details and reasons i am asking about the boost:
- I use LAN Connection
- After i selected 1hour boost from TIME website, i ran speedtest and the speedtest at TIME website and is confirmed the speed was about 30Mbps.
- I have subscribed TIME for nearly 2 years..There isnt any complaints from me until recently (beginning of the year).
- I sent these screenshot to Astro IPTV (i signed for the package Astro-TIME), and the technical support mentioned that it could be due to my router wifi channel :| . Thus, i follow her instruction to change the wifi channel from Auto to some number..not much helping.
- then she said probably due to wifi router malfunction...but i am not consistently getting the slow speed..sometimes, it does function well..hence no sure about this point.
Below are some data points that i manage to capture (I did not save the speedtest screenshot on 12 MARCH):
