I only prefer for Dell due to warranty service. Second is IPS + Ultrasharp. suggest increase some budget to get U2414H. else only can get old model S-Series, S2340L. if budget need to minimize further, check the entry level, E2314H.

If you haven't unbox it, call up Dell and give them Hell. tongue.gif

Previous experience with them under enterprise account is that they are very responsive and I guess they try their very best to make sure that every experience that their customers have is a good one. Good luck!

I do not own either 1 of these monitor. Dell is IPS panel while AOC is AH-IPS. I vote for AOC.

how much for both model?

Hey wanna ask something about dell monitors. Ultrasharp monitors are more rich in colors right. My questions are :

- Does P2314H monitor color output same like other ultrasharp monitors?
- Saw some topics in garage sales put "free calibration service". What does it means? I thought after buying the monitor can straight away plug and play..

dell S series are glossy monitors, unless you can stand it, i wouldnt recommend

colour reproduction wise, AOC have the upper hand with AH-IPS compared to E-IPS for Dell's

depend on which gen/model of ultrasharp monitor you want compare. let's take similar size of ultrasharp monitor, example: U2414H vs. P2314H
U2414H just slightly better only in color gamut CIE1976, 85% vs. 83%

beside this, U2414H offer better connectivity, better bezel design.

not necessary unless you require the color accuracy

you can manually calibrate it yourself as well, just tweak around at the OSD until satisfied

no difference, all warranty side still goes back to Dell

its just the matter of whether you want
1. buy from LYN/lelong/shop seller, monitor need RMA, send back to them, they send to Dell
2. buy from Dell Malaysia, send back direct to them

depends

you can send it back to them to check, or you call their customer service to send people to your place to check

both side if monitor kaput, you still need to pass it to them anyway
