S series afaik uses VA panel instead of IPS, but i could be wrong. newer models might have changed

in short, AH-IPS > E-IPS. thats all

thanks for reply.. going from TN+matte to IPS+glossy really an improvement..

just bought the S2340L..
satisfied with it. thumbup.gif

though, the reflection of glossy screen can be annoying when playing competitive game like cs:go

I find it is a "pain" to buy a LCD monitor nowadays.

Unlike in the old day using CRT time, we don't need to worry about
1. Dead pixel
2. Colour accuracy
3. Glow (For IPS)
4. Bleeding.
5. Tinting problem.
6. Black problem.
7. Viewing angle (for TN)

There is always some luck element in getting a "perfect" LCD monitor.

While in the old day, 99.9% time you can get a "perfect" CRT monitor.

just bought myself dell s2340L 23inch 1920x1080 ips glossy... upgraded from 21.5inch 1920x1080 TN aoc ... well, i can say, the only cons is reflection( glossy)...
satisfied with the color reproduction icon_rolleyes.gif

Bro..  Is there any big difference in terms of size for 21.5 and 23?
*
yes...its depend on preferences.. but i like it bigger... the most ideal for 1080p is 24inch. anything more than that, pixel seems too big. imo
