Just purchase Asus TUF Gaming 27" VG27AQ 2560x1440 monitor for my laptop. smile.gif

The build is very solid, SDR output is great with pretty decent contrast but this display HDR is not good as it is only 8 bit panel and not support wide color gamut.

I just bought the same Lenovo yesterday.
Lenovo is a more established international brand.
There's a couple of good reviews of the G27Q-20 on Reddit.

I won't even consider Illegear, because of the notoriety they've built up from warranty claims, and their products are mostly just rebranded OEMs.

Thank you so much for your valuable input, solid indeed

Hi guys,

I'm looking to upgrade my 10 years old Dell U2412M monitor and planning to upgrade to 32 inch model.

The model I'm eyeing now is Acer ET322QU 1440p IPS. Any other better suggestions? Preferably 16:9 resolution and IPS panel. Budget of RM1K+/-

For color output wise can't compare with either two as this Asus is 8bit panel and not support Wide Color Gamut.

But this Asus in SDR the contrast is brilliant compare with that two.

You may consider also ASUS VY279HE, this monitor is with antibacterial treatment. It is within your budget too.

Usually lower is better, but bear in mind that manufacturer quoted numbers (aka '1ms') are mostly false and response times can vary wildly on different refresh rates, depending on monitor firmware, settings and panel type icon_idea.gif

Check reviews from the likes of Hardware Unboxed/TFTCentral/PCMonitors.info if you want a detailed review icon_idea.gif

Hey guys wanna ask how's Acer's monitor, do they really break down after a year or two after use as other forumers here say?

I bought an Acer XV270p June last year, got a replacement unit due to power issue (after switching off PC the monitor will not go to sleep/ standby mode, display will flash whole night until the next morning unless you switch the power off)

And then the replacement unit I got also have the same issue so I decided to live with it doh.gif (So maybe my first unit is totally fine.. just design flaw or something)

Then another half a year passed, the entire bottom panel starts flickering.. I did some diagnostic and found either the DP port or the monitor is faulty because it's fine with HDMI..

I then carried the monitor to service center to diagnose and to fix, got the same response that they cannot fix and will replace new unit for me.. Reason because parts phased out lol. Maybe it is really a design flaw so they discontinued.
They offered me to:
1. Top up RM300 for xv271Z. 280hz nitro monitor.
2. Top up RM350 for xv272up. 2k 144hz nitro monitor

Or swap to: (no charges)
3. ED320QRP (32" VA 144hz curve)
4. VG271S (similar spec with XV270P but non height adjustable)

I went for the VG271S as I am actually happy with my previous unit and I use VESA mount so with or without the adjustable stand makes no difference.

Now I wonder if I should sell and look for other monitors.. Scared and tired of going to the service center and waiting for weeks sweat.gif
