imo, GSync works best if your rig is mid-high end (depending on reso, might be low-mid end)

and the frames works best around 60-90FPS

at that FPS, it makes it the best gaming experience

if 30-60FPS, youll see stuttering due to low FPS

For those of us who takes color slightly serious and don't mind about pixels transition latency (IPS is always slower than TN, no doubt) and lastly we don't mind waiting for it to mature, yeah... after that few years, I'll probably jumped just slightly... 1440p sweat.gif

Cheaper than Asus alternatives, win-win for consumer, the industry is trying to push this tech faster to reach the mainstream. sweat.gif
From the picture, I think I prefer the stand from Philips, looks like Dell's U series. hmm.gif With rounded base. laugh.gif

Hi I need a suggestion.

I need a monitor which I will do gaming on daily basis. I *might be* one of those high-graphic-setting hoes lol as I will always choose ultra on MMOs or single-playing

My graphic card is SAPPHIRE R9 290 4GB GDDR5 and my budget would be RM1k to 1.5k.

Is it true that HDMI is better than any other port? (DVI, VGA)

As most of my games are MMOs, 1-5ms is better for me?

Also, thoughts on 4k gaming with my GPU?
*
Best list your games' title and we talk performance.
If it's the latest gaming title, I believe 4K will tax your graphics to max, some probably unplayable.
MMO usually less graphics taxing, not too sure on 4K though, supportability is another issue.

HDMI is the same as DVI, share the same digital video signal tech but HDMI can carry audio signal, that's all, but I think HDMI has limit to 1080p only so it will up to you. 4K on HDMI, currently only 30p/i max? Correct me on this.

And as for the 1~5ms, are you refer to pixels transition latency (response per se)? If it's then normal TN should be fine, if you don't mind about color accuracy and those complicated stuff.

Lastly your budget, still can't buy any 4K, they're cheap right now, but still quite high for mainstream.
Just scroll around, check review if any, then just take out your wallet/card, pay or swipe... enjoy~ wink.gif

Yeah. For 4k, use Display Port.

rclxms.gif Nice~ great for multi setup brows.gif
But not so great for me, no VGA (old machine) and DVI (less crucial but still..) sad.gif

VA colors, erm... well the black won't WOW you but the accuracy of the grey will, and what more the response is better than VA, much less trailing when you doing fast pace shooting or watching movies. wink.gif

hmm.gif I think Dell only come out with 24" for the slim bezel model so it's U2414H, and this model only, looking forward for future products. thumbup.gif

Not too sure about the accuracy, I don't have a benchmark monitor to compare with.

I personally think DisplayPort is the right choice Dell picked for a monitor targeted for the multi display market, with the ability to daisy chain, less cable clutters.

True, it's 24". No budget for 27" anyway.
