I prefer to spray limb by limb. You may need to bend the joints to expose some of the frames or armors that got hidden if the limb is straight. 2-3 overall layers would be sufficient enough.

QUOTE(Nawar @ Nov 4 2014, 01:12 AM) im not suggesting.. just informing.. some just topcoat when everything is assembled.. this way saves the top coat usage.. and can be used on other kits aswell.. but the cons is, you might not get a full even coverage.. like between arm areas and skirt area.. depending on pple.. some dont mind, since they dont do extreme pose.. Some just top coat to protect the decals & linng.. its up to yr preference.. "Will the part be affected if paint as one?" what do you mean b y this? lol u wanna topcoat ur kit or dunwan to waste topcoat? you cannot be stingy when it comes to spray can, it will sprayed all over the places...

QUOTE(Vorador @ Nov 4 2014, 10:39 AM) may be because I didn't watch the series, this mode really looks weird to me I did not watch either but not weird to me. We had a lot of questionable things happened in the gundam universe. First was esp, the human turned computer, els invasions, aliens become build fighters. Yup, crystalize psycho frame is not weird.

I do not have endless source of money.. top coat cost 30-40 bucks.. so if can economize or stretch the content per can and still get a decent result... i might compromise.. but most likely not.. since i want it to look good and improve on gunpla..

If top coat the whole assembled gunpla, will it affect the joint? Some say will. Im not sure.

i do not face any issue with hobby type top coat though.. i covered the peg and holes using limb by limb top coat method.. so that top coat dont reach the area which could create extra stiff ness..
but sometimes if your gunpla is loose is better to have the pegs coated as well..
i think it will effect joint if you spray too near or using clear coat which hv thick spray burst

Should be no problem whatsoever if you topcoat the joints, have been doing that for countless kits and none proved to be a problem.
