QUOTE(Bahnhofstrasse @ Jun 23 2015, 02:03 PM) Wah, sifu. Thanks. i planning to get Hong Leong Essential card for unlimited 1%. Because on GE side, no upfront discount, last time pay insurance with OCBC GE got 5% discount on insurance premium, now no more. Better use Hong Leong Essential now. juz saw your post on list of loyalty cards. you requested second payment from shopback and milkadeal. I need 4 - 5 months just to accumulate the minimum RM10 from milkadeal to cash out. You are a really high spender eh. Since you so pro in promo, did you switch to First Basic 38, its the best mobile deal in town right now eh. no need be high spender la. just book a room for 2 nights in agoda one night using shopback (get rm25) and one night using milkadeal (get rm25). then cash out both when time comes.

I'd been using this cc for more than 1 year, happy with the 1% unlimited cashback feature, and I even been given a free Samsung S4 from OCBC last year Nov-Dec. But after revision of their cash back rate, I limited my OCBC usage to only online transaction and oversea expenses. Always check your statement because, they 'tend to' calculate using the wrong rate. Supposed I get 1% for my expenses in May (all online and oversea expenses), however they only gave me 0.1% rebate. I had to call the CS and addressed this issue, then after few working days only they re-issued me the remaining 0.9% to my unbilled statement. =.=

I am too lazy to trace as just few dollar or less than 1 dollar. I also not sure which 1 is belong to online transaction. Payment of bills (for eg: Digi, Water) bill through OCBC online not consider online txn? lazy to call CS, will switch all txn to other cards, and plan for card termination in next 2 months after my installment finished in this cc.

Yup, I understand ur concern. That's why I limit all my OCBC cc usage to only online txn and oversea spending.. So that I know the actual rebate they should be giving me. As long as you do your txn thru online, e.g. online phone bill payments (or other utilities), agoda hotel booking (or other booking websites), etc.. I applied for Citibank cc too, had been approved and now waiting for the cards arrival. Hehe!
