Surprisingly when I received my statement last week, OCBC credits me with RM50 "Annual Usage Bonus"

QUOTE(supersound @ Apr 11 2015, 08:01 PM) Terminate if this is your first card. My avg monthly spending is between 2k - 4k per month. How is MBB dual card work actually? I don't have petrol/mobile spending since those are covered by company. So I guess HLB is not that useful for my case. Will try AEON's Watami in that case.Keep it if your spending average a month > rm4000. 1st card to have, MBB's dual card for the first rm1000. 2nd card, HLB's STUPID card that cover the 2nd rm1000, good for petro, mobile and groceries. 3rd card, Aeon's Watami. 4th card will be this OCBC. |

QUOTE(cfa28 @ Apr 10 2015, 03:02 PM) Just send OCBC a complaints letter. Alamak! Can't agree more.Extract of my complain letter. = = The latest revision of the benefits to just 0.1% Cash Back on local retail spending from previous 1% is indeed very disappointing and tantamount to insulting the intelligence of your customers who would still spend using this Titanium Card for local retail spending. What is more disappointing is that we have been informed by other cardholders’ who have called your Customer Line that OCBC does have a replacement Card to offer called the OCBC 365 which offers 1% Cash Back for First RM1,000 spend and 0.5% Cash Back thereafter. Your OCBC website states that the OCBC 365 comes with First Year Annual Fee waived for the First Year with subsequent year being charged an Annual Fee of RM100. However, Titanium Cardholders who called your Customer Service have been informed that the Annual Fee waiver is only for New Customers and existing OCBC Titanium customers will be charged RM100 annual fee on activation of the OCBC 365 card. This clearly shows that OCBC DOES NOT appreciate its existing Titanium cardholders and is asking them to take their business elsewhere. It is market practice that Credit Card companies always waive the Annual Fee for the first year; if OCBC Titanium cardholders apply from any of your competitors, the Annual Fee for the first year would be waived. Is this how OCBC rewards its existing Titanium cardholders? OCBC should offer the OCBC 365 to current Titanium cardholders and waive the Annual Fee for life. == Anyone managed to obtain annual fee waiver for the HLB essential. Hope HLB does not change their benefits cos Charles Sik previously from OCBC is now with HLB. |

QUOTE(supersound @ Apr 12 2015, 11:20 AM) Aeon's Watami cash back are given once every 3 months. Do read the T&C. Anyone considering UOB ONE card? Any catches?MBB's dual card is the least restrictions card to earn cash back. Swipe on weekends using its AMEX will be getting 5% of cash back, rm50 max a month. So first rm1000 is for your utilities bill(TM, TNB) and dining. AMEX are not widely accepted, so have to try & error. If you are a family man, you can use STUPID card for groceries and another 1 category that can fit your usage, cap it at rm1000 max a month since it has no benefit at all. http://www1.uob.com.my/personal/cards/cred...b_one_card.html |

QUOTE(knight @ Apr 12 2015, 02:33 PM) Maybe I will keep it just for my monthly online transactions such as Astro & insurance premium which is already 1k & still earn the 1% since there's no annual fee.Apply UOB One card for online transactions for my personal Umobile & Unifi coz of 2% rebate on telecommunication & for groceries / pharmacies (2%) too. Other purchases are still with 0.3% rebate since this ocbc titanium will be reduced to just 0.1%? How about that? |

QUOTE(pisces88 @ Apr 12 2015, 06:42 PM) whats your major usage? Major usage is groceries, utilities, retails such as clothing, car service, pet food, etc.Utilities and groceries? if you able to swipe minimum 10 times (min rm50) a month on groceries and utilites, then you can go for HLB WISE. 10% rebate, annual fee rm160 a year, cashback cap rm100 per month. Can exclude petrol (paid by company), mobile charges & Unifi. I don't think I can swap 10 times for groceries/utilities in a month. |

QUOTE(amywong1202 @ Jun 30 2015, 11:09 PM) I'd been using this cc for more than 1 year, happy with the 1% unlimited cashback feature, and I even been given a free Samsung S4 from OCBC last year Nov-Dec. But after revision of their cash back rate, I limited my OCBC usage to only online transaction and oversea expenses. Same here. I keep this card in my drawer already. Only for auto-debit transactions like Astro, mobile, Unifi, etc Always check your statement because, they 'tend to' calculate using the wrong rate. Supposed I get 1% for my expenses in May (all online and oversea expenses), however they only gave me 0.1% rebate. I had to call the CS and addressed this issue, then after few working days only they re-issued me the remaining 0.9% to my unbilled statement. =.= |

QUOTE(red_scorpion @ Jul 3 2015, 11:07 PM) from last statement, I think auto debit not consider as 1% online txn rebate category as my cash back is just around rm1 but my insurance debits are rm400 , if 1% at least will get rm4... In that case, I will switch my online transaction too .. This post has been edited by 1282009: Jul 4 2015, 08:10 PM |
