OCBC GE mastercard

1% rebate on all retail spend

Earn 1% rebate on all retail spend when you use your OCBC Great Eastern MasterCard. Rebates are automatically credited into your card account, and will be reflected in your monthly statement.

hi guys,
would like to double confirm...
this card give 1% for all retail spending or for first 1k only?
kinda confuse when all talking about first 1k only

btw, if i pay my bill online, does the transaction so call online transaction?
currently using ocbc titanium....
wonder if i swipe 10k bill will entitle for 1% or 0.1%....

sighh even the ge card also reduced to 0.5% liao
first 1k = 1%, subsequent 0.5%

Is it confirm after 1k is reduce to 0.5%?
I check the website and the T&C didn't mention.
It just stated 1% on all retail and its uncapped.
I'm actually thinking to apply for this ge card as 2nd cc to my mb2 amex.
If really reduce to 0.5%, might as well get HLB essential card.

Thanks for the info.
I didn't notice this at all.
If that's the case then this card is a no-no for me.

still many keep this cc for 1%.
but after revision, titanium/blue/pink card 0.1% and ge card 0.5% is the major turndown.

My monthly is RM 250 and one year whole is only RM 3k. Even though it breaks into 12-month installment, it is still RM 250 for me.
My agent told me, mine has no difference whether paying in lump sum annually, quarterly or monthly. That's why he suggested me to just auto-debit every month rather than me paying RM 3k annually.
In short, mine doesn't have discount. If there is, I would have opted for it long time ago and not auto-debit from my Titanium card earlier and now GE Plat.

For ILP. there is no.different in premium between monthly or annual payment, but there will be different in cash value.

If you pay annual lump sum, cash value protections will be higher than monthly. But sometimes, safer to pay monthly so that the funds can average down during bad times like these

Imagine, annual sum payment when KLCI just dropped 300 points.

What is happening at the Malaysian side of OCBC? Scaling down benefits as if non existent. Lucky it's business as usual in Singapore side.
