QUOTE(stargate8 @ Sep 9 2014, 02:59 PM) ok thanks for the advice. then better to pay first... No, no need to pay first..OCBC card i experienced b4, duplicated charges for 1 transaction. I called the officer, they said u can ignore it and no need to pay first. Then after 1-2 weeks I received letter on the dispute issue and it will stated that transaction is on investigation and can just ignore it. Anyway, they still managed to reversed the transaction within 1-2 weeks before my next statement come. This post has been edited by red_scorpion: Sep 10 2014, 02:03 AM

QUOTE(vostro78 @ Nov 17 2014, 02:58 PM) hi, i been approach by sales promoter for this ocbc cresit card. i told them i am only lookinf for a card that is cash rebate for any amount i make the transaction, they say yes this card unlimited for 1% all day all. currently i am planning to cancel my citibank cash back and take this ocbc if it is really good... i would like to ask sifu here that been using it for some times : 1. can i use the card to pay house loan and get rebate also ? my house loan also ocbc . 2. planning to convert all utilities bill that charge to citibank cash back card to ocbc, worth it ? 3. my weekly online expenses is around 5k to 10k depends on order... i help my fren buy xiaomi phone every tuesday. if i spend 10k will i also get 1% which is Rm100 rebate ? 1. i think we cannot use credit card to pay any loan such as car loan, house loan. 2. suggest you to get mbb amex card as tnb and unifi can use amex to pay on weekend and enjoy 5% cash back + 5x point. 3. yea..1% unlimited..10k will get rm100...20k=rm200..100k=1k.

12/12/2014 Government Service Tax 50.00 - 12/12/2014 Annual Usage Bonus - 50.00
today login into OCBC, saw unbilled trans, found out that there is annual usage bonus in order to offset GST. Thanks OCBC, I no need to call CS to ask on this.
P/S: my annual usage is around 30k, and that included 7.6k OCBC call for cash which I took on early of year.

QUOTE(cristiano7mu @ Dec 17 2014, 07:56 PM) i swipe 5k on 10/12, posted on 11/12 and the cash rebate is on 12/12. By right i should have at least rm50 rebate but the 1% cash rebate only RM10++. could this be due to delay? did the swipe transaction goes into your statement on 12/12? if it is listed in the statement, then the rebate should include it as well..just call CS for clarification

QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 29 2014, 10:49 AM) Yes, ca n pay annually. Think again, maybe it is a better choice for me to get Watami, doesn't matter if my other quarters cannot reach RM 3k but at least I could get RM 90 out of it. Now it makes all senses. Earlier my gym subscription is tied to this card and I have transferred it to my AmEx, so only left my insurance. I'll terminate it when the anniversary comes in May, I'm pretty sure I will not get any waiver. So, just cut down all those not so useful cards in my wallet. I heard rumors that once gst implemented on april, all the cc service tax will be remove, is it true? if like that, then you can just dont care it and make this card as backup card, since there are no annual fee and service tax charge.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Jan 8 2015, 03:39 PM) i mean af is being charged upfront. so if you decided to cancel, they have to waive it (if they already charged it). af is within the boundary of a bank and they can waive it, unlike gst. you have no obligation to pay if you are not going to use it anymore. if they don't waive, you can bring this matter up to bnm. for gst, i have experienced in citibank, scb...even after they charged me already, i still managed to cancel the card without paying it..

QUOTE(ppfoong @ May 5 2015, 01:31 PM) No. OCBC charges you extra 1.25% on currency conversion rate, so after 1% rebate you still lost 0.25% to them. I'll use my HXXX card for overseas spending. but other bank card also charge at least 1% on top of currency conversion rate. Amex will charge 2.5%. Or do you know any card that do not charge any extra % on top of conversion rate? This post has been edited by red_scorpion: May 5 2015, 02:52 PM

QUOTE(midnight_plue @ May 5 2015, 04:57 PM) if swipe during weekend you still earn 2.5% cash rebate la if spend overseas better than nothing ehehehe But but but the amex 5% rebate is cap at rm50.. I guess most of the ppl will take the max cash rebate rm50 every month, so for overseas spending, it is consider extra spending and bear in mind also normally overseas spending is huge amount...so if use amex , just earn 5x point only which same like 1.25% only...so still lost 1.25% which is more than tit card as it lost 0.25% only..

QUOTE(stacko @ May 19 2015, 04:03 PM) Had similar issues, but my "online" and "overseas" transactions from 1 - 11 May 2015 that were only given 0.1% in the 11 May statement were rectified with "Cash Rebate Cr Adj" to 1.0%. However, 1 transaction on 30 April but posted on 1 May 2015 was only given 0.1%. yea, i saw there were 2 times of Cash Rebate Cr Adj for my ocbc tit statement and unbill tranx.. Lazy to count it as amount is just few dollar...i think is due to this.. This post has been edited by red_scorpion: May 20 2015, 01:19 AM

QUOTE(amywong1202 @ Jun 30 2015, 11:09 PM) I'd been using this cc for more than 1 year, happy with the 1% unlimited cashback feature, and I even been given a free Samsung S4 from OCBC last year Nov-Dec. But after revision of their cash back rate, I limited my OCBC usage to only online transaction and oversea expenses. Always check your statement because, they 'tend to' calculate using the wrong rate. Supposed I get 1% for my expenses in May (all online and oversea expenses), however they only gave me 0.1% rebate. I had to call the CS and addressed this issue, then after few working days only they re-issued me the remaining 0.9% to my unbilled statement. =.= their new calculation seems hard to trace,a lot of cr rebate adjustment.. I am too lazy to trace as just few dollar or less than 1 dollar. I also not sure which 1 is belong to online transaction. Payment of bills (for eg: Digi, Water) bill through OCBC online not consider online txn? lazy to call CS, will switch all txn to other cards, and plan for card termination in next 2 months after my installment finished in this cc.
