My speaker wire was broken, what I can do? My S330D is out of warranty now, my speaker still in very good condition, except this broken wire.

is this the speaker cable?

just trim it, strip it and twist it and connect it back

unless you have soldering skills, tin it first after stripping then install it back in

You'll need wire strippers

Some youtube links like here and here to remove the wire shielding

or you can make do with some scissors if you are careful thumbup.gif

Are u meaning that actually i jus hav to makesure the gold wire long enough and without tin it, then i will be able to use back?

Anyway, this is the cable wire connecting my woofer to satelite speaker, the one connecting to a black and red hole one.

Hear the depth of the bass you've been missing in your music.
Edifier P293 earphones offer incredibly full and textured bass, along with the astonishing clarity and fidelity for which Edifier is renowned.

the reception quality is good and you don't need to add any antenna to it.

if you liked bass then the Altec will win no matter how it sounds as R1280T isn't bassy in computer speaker range

but since R1280T doesn't have the generic bass of average computer speaker, it won't have bass mudding it's sound

but lets say I were to switch off the VS4621 subwoofer and only compared the two stereo speakers,

The R1280T is extremely full sounding with body and texture compared to the dead plastic sound of VS4621 down firing midranges
*
which 1 will more suit for home tv speaker?

VS4621
-more bass?

R1280T
-more rich sound experience
-not bassy (becoz it's studio speaker)
-got remote control (good for tv speaker, easy remote)

just need a firm answer sweat.gif

2nd question,
how about for pc speaker?
which 1 will be better in overall? I'm using asus xonar stx too.

if you hav better suggestion will be good icon_rolleyes.gif just budget friendly

It really depends on your room
I'd go with R1280T just solely because of remote control for convenience unless your TV can control the output volume

Depending on how big/reflective is your tv room or how far your tv is to you, I would go with R1280T just for the vocal priority as it has the lead for this category. (you can consider the VS4621 if your room is not echo-ey)

As computer speakers are designed for nearfield listening, it may sound messy and noisy for long range listening. Do keep that in mind. thumbup.gif

Which Edifier speaker that is equivalent to AE Aego M 2.1? I'm looking for a small, compact PC speaker that is suitable for music listening.

Previously I owned a pair of Behringer Truth B3030A. Unfortunately due to space constraint on my desk (previously using 19" LCD, now 27") and also a change of heart (previously was an audiophile, like everything to be flat, pure and "colourless") I'm looking for a replacement. Subwoofer is a must since I've been listening to music without a sub for nearly 5 years, and i'm starting to miss them.

I don't think the Edifier could compare well with the Aego M especially in the quality treble brightness
More especially when you need something small that sounds good. The small edifier speakers aren't entirely small to begin with.

I can suggest the Edifier Luna Eclipse for small but big sound package but it lacks a woofer if you need.
You can give the Edifier S330D a try but I find it a downgrade to an Aego M (other than a better responsive dual coil subwoofer compared to Aego M slight slow mud soft midbass woofer for modern music)

offtopic suggestion

as replied above, nothing from edifier (save *PERHAPS* the R2800) can compare to the Aego M.
but it will lose out in size and 2.1 vs 2.0 bookshelves/studio speakers is a mismatched comparison anyways.

now, while i wouldn't recommend the S330, i would highly recommend the S530D as the bass will more than make up for the trebles in comparison to the Aego M wink.gif

No speaker can directly resembles studio speakers. Even studio speakers can't resemble different studio speakers

But Edifier has studio series of R2700 and R2800 icon_rolleyes.gif
