Obviously the OC one would run faster out-of-box.

yes
the oc stands for overclock.

meaning it was overclocked by the manufacturer so it would have slightly better performance than a standard card.
thats why different card have different coolings fans to cooldown the card better due to its overclocked nature.
You still can manually overclock the overclocked card to higher speed though.

Wah reference 290X. Haha. Can get cheaper for 1.7-1.8k at Viewnet, if I am not mistaken. Clearance. smile.gif. But I would spend RM200-300 more and get a non reference unit.

I've took the price of 290X from viewnet,tho..the Gainward's was from Lingloong.. smile.gif

Oh also if you aren't going to use multi monitor setup please don't get the 4GB GTX 770. Just get either the Gainward 770 Phantom or Leadtek 770 Oc.

If you have to remove the warranty sticker in order to remove the shroud and cooler then yes.

But some sellers don't mind as long you keep the original cooler along when RMA. Have to check and confirm.

1.Well,the mobo has 4 USB 3.0s,1 PCI-E 3.0 for the GPU and..more info will be in the link i posted below. nod.gif *And due to the budget*
http://www.asrock.com/mb/compare.asp?Selec...dModel=H81M-DGS

2.To give extra headroom since the 280X power consumption is higher than GTX760/R9 280.But one of the forumers here.. creative zn tongue.gif He ran the 280X on Gigabyte Powerrock 500W PSU IINM.. sweat.gif Luckily no problems.

Aha. Yah. Lucky not overload. But now change to FSP Raider 650W. Worth every penny man. thumbup.gif

the extra premium on the extra VRAM isnt much afaik, should be fine if he plans to play games that requires high VRAM (yes you Watch Dogs)

though he may reach GPU limit first before that, he can always tweak the settings to fit as per his liking wink.gif

im finding 3GB lacking if i turn everything up sweat.gif not sure game optimisation problem or games these days are texture hogger
