Hi Sentinel.

Is the graphic card nice ? Because I only know Geforce and AMD LOL.
Hahaha . Sorry for that >.<
*
Ah sorry. Missed your post.

Yeah its nice. Solid performer without much reported issues so far. smile.gif

AMD and nVidia makes the base reference designs. Companies like Gigabyte, ASUS, Powercolor, Gainward, Sapphire takes those designs and make usually better non reference versions. smile.gif

Powercolor is fine. They have been around for some time. I remember them fondly from the old HD 3000 series, where I nearly bought one of their cards back then. They're basically owned by TUL Corp, which happened to own several other sub-brands like Club3D and VTX3D, just to name a few. Somehow, they disappeared from the scene after the HD 6000 series and no local distributor seem to carry them anymore. Until feiton seems to be bringing in Powercolor recently. wink.gif

Unfortunately, 1600p displays would be only available on 30 inch displays, which is not cheap to begin with (FYI 30 inch 1600p displays cost more than half of your budget... sweat.gif )

Not to mention 1600p is incredibly hard to push even with very high end GPUs... sweat.gif

Still, I'd go with 1200p, but the price range is too close to a Korean 1440p display... sweat.gif

Anyway,

Xeon E3 1230v3-RM789
ASRock H97 Pro4-RM329
Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB-RM249
WD Caviar Blue 1TB-RM189
PowerColor R9 290 PCS+-RM1650
Seasonic M12II 620W-RM359
NZXT H440 (Black with Red Color)- RM399
LiteOn DVD Writer-RM55
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB-RM320
X-Star DP2710 Matte-RM963 (Get from this link: http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/Matte-X-STAR-DP...d1e678e&_uhb=1)
Keyboard and mouse of your choice-RM60

Total: RM5362

Still has room for a mechanical keyboard.... brows.gif

Thanks. I'll check them out later. The 29" Dell U2913WM monitor is a unique kind. How's the quality? Any issue that will come out during use? Good for gaming? Graphics card able to support the resolution of the monitor?
What's the benefits of Xeon processor over i5 and what's the benefit of i5 over Xeon? Xeon seems more expensive and has higher clock speed. Will the integrated graphics in i5 be used if the PC has an external card?

1.Well,the mobo has 4 USB 3.0s,1 PCI-E 3.0 for the GPU and..more info will be in the link i posted below. nod.gif *And due to the budget*
http://www.asrock.com/mb/compare.asp?Selec...dModel=H81M-DGS

2.To give extra headroom since the 280X power consumption is higher than GTX760/R9 280.But one of the forumers here.. creative zn tongue.gif He ran the 280X on Gigabyte Powerrock 500W PSU IINM.. sweat.gif Luckily no problems.

Wah reference 290X. Haha. Can get cheaper for 1.7-1.8k at Viewnet, if I am not mistaken. Clearance. smile.gif. But I would spend RM200-300 more and get a non reference unit.

The Antec VP-550 is a pretty solid PSU, with all Japanese capacitors on its secondary side. I am not sure which model is currently in retail stores now, but the older VP550P model is supposedly the better one, due to the reason I earlier mentioned.

When you get it, can you please do us a favor and report back which packaging/model is the current Antec VP-550 on sale now. wink.gif

Antec VP550P (older platform, full Japanese caps on secondary side)

Antec VP550F (newer platform, 80 Plus, only partial Japanese caps on secondary side)
