Too bought in by the silky smooth matte-black type design offered by Bitfenix, which is why I'm also using a Razer Blackwidow despite what people say about Razer products.

So far I like Colossus M and Phenom M best... yup, both by Bitfenix tongue.gif

But both doesnt come with removable dust filters doh.gif

EDIT: Actually I think it does... just caught it on one of the paragraphs on the website (its not specifically mentioned in the spec sheet). Will have to check it out at LYP.

Definitely you can. You just lose out on the overclocking capability only. You mean the multi-card setup right? E.g CFX/SLI x8 / x8.

Thanks a lot for the recommendations  rclxms.gif Didn't know cases nowadays come with all these bells and whistles. Also, I'm a bit confused because the Mobo already has USB ports (6 front and 6 back), but these cases also come with USB ports? Where are the mobo ports going to fit/appear on the case?
the case usb will connected directly to mobo.

the one on the back as in the picture below are obviously case ready,

but this one you have to connect it with case usb bcuz there is no way for you to use that directly from mobo.

yes definitely, thanks for your answer still thinking either to upgrade the mobo or just sell off 1 card, the heat from 2x r9 290 is horrible

and bro does pcie 3.0 x8/x8 setup offer significant improvement over my current setup which is pcie 3.0 x16/ pcie 2.0 x4

Was planning on decent photoshop rig with a budget of 2.5 - 3k
What are the recommendations excluding monitor, speaker?

Prefer to have 16GB ram setup.
Mediocore gpu is sufficient…nvidia preferred.

You mean the heat exhausted from running those 2 cards is too hot for you? What brand you using? tongue.gif

Yes there is, it is slower running at x4. You need at least x8 in order to utilize as much of the GPU's capability as possible.

This is a good read here.

Sorry for the late reply,

Thank you for the viewnet link. Do they accept for something like online shopping?

Because I checked the local pc store in my area, they didn't have sapphire series, only asus, gigabyte brands and I must say, quite overpriced, even gigabyte r7 250 would cost me nearly RM400

For Bitfenix Phenom-M and Colossus-M, assuming you're looking at the M-ATX version, it does have a dust filter but only at the top, this is because for the M-ATX layout the intake is reversed from top to bottom/back smile.gif unfortunately for the PSU intake at the front, there is none

Hi guys..I would like to build a new rig with these specs

Intel i5-4460
Asrock H81M-HDM
Gskill Aegis 2x4gb ddr3 1600
WD 1TB Blue
Thermaltake Versa H21
FSP Hexa 550W
LG 24x sata dvdrw
Gainward GTX750TI Golden Sample 2GB

My doubt is about the motherboard. .. should I get the asrock b85m hds instead? The b85 is about RM50 more expensive...

Got any difference between this 2? Which motherboard should I choose? Any help is appreciated. ..thx ^.^

Only difference is more USB port and more SATA ports, also special features or something similar.

Thanks for the reply ;-)

What is SATA port for? I'm only using 1 hdd and 1 graphic card (no intention of upgrading or adding any hdd) so will the extra SATA benefit me? Also I noticed b85 has pci3 compared to h81 which has pci2 ...whats the difference? will it affect my performance?

depend if you plan to do any upgrade in future I would say.

The major downside for h81 probably is less ram slots and pcie2.0. Going b85 hds improved on pcie2.0 but still two ram slots. Higher end b85 all have 4slots ram.

As for pcie2.0 vs 3.0, I will say it depend on whether you plan to upgrade your gpu in future. 2.0 having less bandwidth, but it isn't really a big/significant concern for low/mid end cards. Only if you plan to upgrade to some monster cards in future, then the 2.0 vs 3.0 might has a more significant effects.

Thanks for the effort bro.
Seems like even 3k also hard to go with i7 setup.

If 3.5k would be ok for 4770 + h80i right?

go for xeon, i7 specs (0.1ghz slower than 4770) at i5 price (rm7xx)

Btw, 4790 out already.

In other words, we only suggest i7 when you opt for the unlocked version. If you opt for locked i7 might as well save some bucks and go with xeon.
