How is intel compared to plextor m5 extreme (i see ppl always recommending plextor but its hard to find the stock)
*
Both are actually excellent SSDs and they come with 5 years warranty. In terms of performance, they should be a match for each another.

How much you want to increase your budget to? We might be able to include in SSD or better GPU if you increase your budget and you will experience better overall performance.

I'm thinking around RM3.5k, below RM4k.

guys i have few question before buying desktop tmr.

assuming i am using cm storm scout 2 casing : http://gaming.coolermaster.com/en/products/cases/scout_2/

how many casing fans do i need as i am not going to oc my comp? (i7 & gtx770)

where should those fans located at?

any good brand for casing fans? i prefer silence one.
i looked at cooler master casing fan and quite a number of negative comment. noctua and scythe gentle typhoon seems quite expensive, nt sure they worth or not blink.gif

all opinions are welcome and thanks for replying me biggrin.gif

if you are not going to OC, u can just stick back to stock fan. It is sufficient enough. Not needed to change it.
For casing fan, I also not very familiar, but it won't too expensive, mostly only Rm 20~30 I remember

Sifus, some updates - I approached one of the online sellers here with the recommended spec but they came back with this. Any thoughts on this? The bolded parts are the original recommendation.

We aren't really a fan of Bitfenix in fact and are too compact inside, this is what I'd recommend to you putting performance and value into contemplation.

i5-4460
Asrock H97M Pro4
G.Skill Value Ram 1600mhz 1x8GB  (Corsair?) 8GB Value RAM
SF HX600W Gold 80+ Modular PSU (5 Years 1:1) Seasonic S12II 620w
Zotac GTX780Ti AMP! Edition 3GDDR5
Fractal Design Node 804
RM4040

The Fractal Design Node 804 is quite a bit bigger (wider) than what I prefer (Colossus M)... but as per above it seems the parts won't fit... thoughts? Plus I don't really like the design.

Fractal Design Node 804 http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product...series/node-804
Case dimensions (WxHxD): 344 x 307 x 389 mm
Net weight: 6 kg

I'm okay with those parts. The PSU is from seasonic, good things from them there. But if you want bling bling can go with HyperX Fury from Kingston on the RAM part.

then do you know how many casing fans needed for maintaining temperature around max 60'C?

i am planning 1 200mm fan at top, 2x 120mm fans at front and 1 120mm fan at rear for bitfenix raider casing : http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products...raider#overview

is that enough?

I am using Bitfenix Raider. I currently have 2 x 120mm front fans (intake), 1 x 120mm rear (exhaust) and 1 x 120mm bottom (intake). This casing has a poor design whereby it can't really fit in a top 200mm fan. Sad but true. My CPU load temp hardly exceed 60C, with everything running at stock speeds.

Thank you for your reply, I already contacted this person.

I wanna know a little bit the differences between asus, gigabyte and sapphire in these models r7 250 and r7 250x and how they perform? This is because asus and gigabyte's r7 250 costs around RM400

grab the one that's the cheapest, don't think there will be much different between the cards.

There are some small differences probably in the clock speed, and also the fans and heatsink used. You might need to check out each individual cards to see their differences. In terms of performance, they're not likely to be of much difference, so I would advise you to go for the cheapest available.

I'd say if you can top up RM 20 more you can get GTX 750 alredy. On par with 260.
