Brand: Any with reputable customer services
Budget : 2-3k
Usage: Normal usage for assignments, being able to support the latest adobe softwares. Light gaming.
Preferred size : 14 inches and above
Additional stuff: I'm like a sucker for edgy and geometrical designs (something like macbooks and acer's ultrabooks), the laptop is preferably to be solid and not flimsy like those with plastic covers.

Thanks =D

the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Lite uses standard mSATA SSD, so it is possible to replace the mSATA drive with a higher capacity ones. the highest capacity out there in the market is 512GB if im not mistaken, which costs nearly RM2000.
the mSATA SSD is located under the golden ribbon :

Bought the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Lite Dark blue with touch screen yesterday at LY for RM1890. Thanks for your recommendation. When mSATA SSD price comes down will upgrade. Now use my old DEll notebook that has 500GB as back up and another 500GB external hard drive for large data.

Thanks again.

Well, it depends on how you see it laugh.gif
I've used the Yoga 2 Pro before, its a very impressive machine! But the biggest problem is also its most unique feature - the super high resolution!
Since the resolution is that high, almost everything will look very small on the screen, which will bepretty uncomfortable for your eyes sad.gif
And if programs are not optimized for the high resolution, you will get black bars on the sides too. But if you are using common programs, it should be fine icon_rolleyes.gif

Personally I think FullHD on a 13" notebook is already a bit too much, but that's just me la...
Go and check out the real thing and see whether you can live with it or not laugh.gif
Of course, you can lower the resolution, but that beats the purpose of getting a high resolution screen in the first place no? tongue.gif

The Lenovo U430 seems just right for your requirements  hmm.gif

You are right, I think it is just right for my requirements. I can't seem to be able to find U430 around the market here, and I am confused at the Lenovo Malaysia site when it says it has two variant of 1600x900 and 1900x1080 reso though.

Many thanks for the recommendation bro. Highly appreciate it.

I'm planning similarly like your suggestion - running bootcamp but on MacBook Pro Retina 13 inch instead of 15 inch due to size, weight and mobility.
Below is what I've gathered so far;

Specifications (13 inch Macbook Pro with Retina display)
• 2.8GHz Dual-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz
• 16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
• 512GB PCIe-based Flash Storage
• Apple USB SuperDrive
• Backlit Keyboard (English) & User's Guide (English)

Purchase Information
• RM 7,508.00

Is this a good setup or would it be better to stick with 15 inch instead?
I would prefer to spend not more than 8k at this moment.

Thanks heaps in advance for your kind reply!

assuming you use windows 8.1, the apps/touch mode benefits from the QHD display, but the desktop/normal mode, the icons and fonts is really tiny if you set the native resolution...

TL:DR version; we would not recommend it until windows patch this issue...
