Hi sifus!

1. Preferred Brand: Asus (can consider other brands too except Acer)
2. Budget: 2k (can increase a little)
3. Usage: office work, web browsing, videos/music (no editing)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: larger than 15"
Prefer no touchscreen, lightweight laptops with good keyboard and battery life because it's for business work when travelling

QUOTE(lxying @ Apr 10 2014, 10:32 AM)
Hmm ok. How about 14" laptops then?

And how much would 15" ones cost?
*
15" notebooks are generally larger and not that easy to bring about hmm.gif
Can consider these:
14"
Dell Inspiron 14 7000, i5-4200U + Intel HD4400 + 32GB mSATA + 500GB(5400rpm)@RM2649[1.99kg], 4GB(soldered), W8.1, backlit keyboard, 58Whr, No ODD

Lenovo
Ideapad Flex 14, i3-4010U + Nvidia GT820M +(1366x768; touch) + 8GB SSHD + 500GB HDD@RM1799, 4GB (soldered), W8, 2 yrs; color: black
Ideapad Flex 14, i5-4200U + Nvidia GT820M +(1366x768; touch) + 8GB SSHD + 500GB HDD@RM2299, 4GB (soldered), W8, 2 yrs; colors: black/orange

15"
Lenovo Flex 15, i7-4500U + Nvidia GT720M + (1366x768; touch) + 8GB SSGD + 500GB HDD@RM2699, 4GB, W8

*prices in RRP
If you can stretch your budget to ~RM2.3-2.4k, then I would recommend you to get the Inspiron 14 7000 from bro putochip123 thumbup.gif
Personally I think the Inspiron 14 7000 is one of the best notebooks for work thumbup.gif

Surface Pro is actually a very great choice, if you can still find one nod.gif
The 128GB version is selling at ~Rm1.9k only, just need to add another ~RM300 to get the type cover and you're good to go- affordable, portable and high quality device. Of course, you do know that its 10" in size right? Might be too small if your work requires a lot of workspace nod.gif

Can consider this one as well:
14"
Lenovo Ideapad Flex 14, i5-4200U + Nvidia GT820M +(1366x768; touch) + 8GB SSHD + 500GB HDD@RM2299, 4GB (soldered), W8, 2 yrs; colors: black/orange

Ultrabooks are basically slim and light notebooks aimed at portability and battery life but compromising on performance
Normal PC notebooks are relatively bulkier but packs a punch for the price you pay
Surface Pro is a Hybrid Convertible that can be "switched" from tablet to laptop mode vice versa, very convenient for those on the go, or those who needs to make presentations using tablets.
