We don't have much info about Samsung notebooks, so can't recommend at the moment- their brochures are not easy to get. Perhaps you could share some info here if you have?  notworthy.gif
Personally I would choose the Inspiron 14 7000, its one of my favourites haha laugh.gif

Dell Inspiron 14 7000, i5-4200U + Intel HD4400 + 32GB mSATA + 500GB(5400rpm)@RM2649[1.99kg], 4GB(soldered), W8.1, backlit keyboard, 58Whr, No ODD

Do PM putochip123 if you are interested in it, he's definitely selling cheaper than RM2.5k brows.gif This notebook may not be super thin, but it comes with a great screen, and also the 32GB mSATA, which will help improve computing experiences due to its snappiness  icon_rolleyes.gif
But that's just me la haha, in the end the choice is up to you~

3. Usage: ANSYS, Solidworks (Heavily Used), Catia, After Effects, Photoshop/lightroom, Dota 2

4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 15" and above. Does not get too hot. Calibrated screen is a plus.
