Tq for the advise sifu... but may i ask a question??..

Out of these 4 laptops.. which one u think is better??.. (I've seen the Illegear and my they're HEAVY specs)
1. Lenovo Y510p
2. ASUS G56JR
3. ASUS N550JK
4. MSI GS70
P.S Do Illegear have a shop?? wanna check out the laptops
*
my best vote goes for ASUS G56JR among those, MSI GS70 if i want lightness.
you can try PM Prince J for details about their resellers, as most of the time they rely on online orders (for customization purposes).

Thanks for the reply!
I thought that the cheapest versions of Macbooks starts at exactly 3k, that's why I noted  tongue.gif
Samsung 7 ultra seems like the best option, even though it has the previous get intel. Thanks again! biggrin.gif

sports game, i'd like you to take the Dell i listed. most of the sports game arent graphic demanding, so i dont think you really need to have a graphics card.

but if you worry about that :

Lenovo Z400 touch, i5-3230M + Nvidia GT740M + (1366x768, touch)@RM2399, 4GB, 1TB, W8; 2 years warranty

this is sufficient enough. nod.gif

So do you think that dell inspiron 14' 7000 series is better and more worth than this Hp envy touchsmart j144tx model??
coz both of the price is same as 2999.

because your preferences :

i wish could get backlit keyboard and msata cache for ssd upgrade, longer battery life and don't overweight

and it seems like Dell Inspiron 14 7000 fits your preferences.

but as i said, if you want performance, you can go for HP or the Lenovo i listed, just that you need to sacrifice lightweight.

1. Any brand will do
2. 2.3k~3k
3. Normal college use, light gaming (main priority would be easily portable + battery life)
4. 14 / 15 inch

Currently looking up :
Dell Inspiron 14 7000
Lenovo Z510
Lenovo IdeaPad U430
Lenovo Flex 15

Which would be the better choice? Open to new suggestions.

The Acer R7 has a really awkward touchpad. If you look closely, the touchpad comes before the keyboard. Are you looking to max out on games or you comfortable with medium/low?

Okay...thanks for your recommendation smile.gif
I got some other question willing to ask

1.Do you think that I should buy my laptop from lyn seller rather than outside shop trusted reseller?? Coz the price from lyn is cheaper than outsite the shop who sell

2.Do you think that add on the warranty on laptop is a good idea?? Or better don't waste that money??

3.Do you thibk that touchscreen is a must function while experience win8.1

4. Is Asus and Lenovo has a good feedback on after sales service in Malaysia??

1. This is kinda hard to judge, as each has pros and cons. But normally, i would prefer to COD with online resellers. save back my parking fees and time to travel to Lowyat Plaza. but if you got to lowyat, you can get to touch the laptop that you wanted to buy.

2. Pretty a good idea and recommended to save your hassles. If you constantly travel with your laptop, best to purchase the accidental damage support (which Dell normally has).

3. No. This is a waste of money and gimmick.

4. Lenovo's service is better than ASUS a lot. ASUS is popular for having a terrible after sales service.

Would RM1-1.5k be sufficient to get a decent laptop for general use purposes, mainly:

- web browsing
- video & audio playback
- office processing (word, excel, powerpoint etc)
- basic editing (movie clip, midi mixing etc)
- skype etc

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

noted. notworthy.gif
but normally less people will go for 11" notebooks. the screen was so tiny, even reading a document can be pain in the ass.
*
i using it personally, the screen is actually 11.6", native resolution is 1366 by 768. no problem for normal daily use.

only will feel small when need to multi task, so i would say it is not primary laptop for all people

the only reason people buy 11" mba is becoz its tiny, light, yet still powerful to carry and travel around.

anyway, if upcoming mba kill the thick bazel in mba (feel about 2cm for me but didnt really measure it), they actually can fit a bigger screen at same form factor...

i "upgrade" from 2012 mba 13" to 2013 mba 11", never regret and never look back at all, heck sometimes i dont even know my laptop in my bag or not doh.gif
