The Acer R7 has a really awkward touchpad. If you look closely, the touchpad comes before the keyboard. Are you looking to max out on games or you comfortable with medium/low?

Hey guys, looking for a laptop to suit the waifu and me for the mean time. We'll be buying two of the same.

Currently thinking of getting this
http://www.cyberport.de/acer-aspire-v5-573...6-8VW_1695.html
and asking the parents to help ship it over to Malaysia.
Only problem is heat dispersal. A 750M on that thin of a chassis will probably overheat and either just shut down or throttle till it's near unusable.

Looking for something to last us a year, year and a half max.

1. Preferred Brand: Any will do
2. Budget: 3k
3. Usage: LoL, SC2, nothing heavy, mid gaming. Then productivity suites.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: Any will do. Just trying to keep the weight under 2.6kg

Damn, a GDDR5 750M. I can't find the specsheet for that. Dell Malaysia shows only the one with the 740M. Screen res? I don't think I can do with a 720p one. Wouldn't mind downgrading the GPU a bit for 1080p.

Not cheated mang, some of us are used to addressing the models through GT mainly because it's been so for the past 6 or so generations. Still same numbering. Though those benchmarks are a bit off.

if you cant live without 1080p, you can go for this :

MSI
GE60-2OC, i5-4200M + Nvidia GT750M(GDDR5) + (1920x1080; anti-glare)@RM3099, 8GB, 750GB(7200rpm), W8, steel series KB
GP60-2PEY, i5-4200H + Nvidia GT840M + (1920x1080; anti-glare) @RM2899[Dynaudio], 4GB, 750GB HDD, W8.1

Thanks man, was never too keen on the MSI's, but for a placeholder laptop, these will do :3
