i just activated my CIMB rebate card and CIMB gold card by 3/8/2014, today i received statement letter asking me to pay RM50/each card for government tax, is it normal ? why charge tax so early ?

can i call centre to waive this charges ? pls advice

Usually, GST is charged on the approval date itself. You may try but i highly doubt you will be successful.

if it's online you will get eg. e-city hotel that I booked at One City but if they processed it manually meaning you key in the details then later the staff use it to swipe the terminal then you won't get

but anyway i think you can test it until the make payment part whether it goes through ipay88, paypal etc this sure confirmed will get

You can't argue if the transaction is not Posmode 81. It's already stipulated in the Terms & Conds.

Hi all,

I have tried to apply the CIMB Cash Rebates Gold Card through the Let-Us-Call-You, but no one has called me so far sad.gifI wanted to try my luck for the RM150 cash back if applied online and swipe 3x within 6 days from date of card approval, seems like no luck)

So, tired of waiting, I went straight to the branch to apply. Does anyone has experience using this card? It says that during this promotional period currently, a Zing Touch n Go card will be issued complimentary. I already have a Touch n Go and do not need another one which auto top-up the balance while incurring charges for the reload fees. I'm not a heavy TnG card user and can always reload at zero charges at any CIMB ATMs or Watsons.

I asked the CS if I can asked refuse the complimentary Touch n Go Zing card which she called the Card Centre to verify. Cannot sad.gif

The CS assured me that there won't be any amount in the Touch n Go Zing card when it arrives with the Cash Rebates Card and I can cancelled it once I get it.. But, it was written in the application form that if we do not tick any amount under the TnG Zing card amount, it will automatically load RM 100 in the TnG card. If we want to cancel the TnG Zing card, the balance will be refunded back to the credit card, but RM5.00 processing fee will be incurred. This feels so unfair.

Anyone who has successfully refused the TnG Zing card while retaining only the Cash Rebates card AND without getting any penalty for processing fees?

Thank you in advance! notworthy.gif
