Hi all,

I have tried to apply the CIMB Cash Rebates Gold Card through the Let-Us-Call-You, but no one has called me so far sad.gifI wanted to try my luck for the RM150 cash back if applied online and swipe 3x within 6 days from date of card approval, seems like no luck)

So, tired of waiting, I went straight to the branch to apply. Does anyone has experience using this card? It says that during this promotional period currently, a Zing Touch n Go card will be issued complimentary. I already have a Touch n Go and do not need another one which auto top-up the balance while incurring charges for the reload fees. I'm not a heavy TnG card user and can always reload at zero charges at any CIMB ATMs or Watsons.

I asked the CS if I can asked refuse the complimentary Touch n Go Zing card which she called the Card Centre to verify. Cannot sad.gif

The CS assured me that there won't be any amount in the Touch n Go Zing card when it arrives with the Cash Rebates Card and I can cancelled it once I get it.. But, it was written in the application form that if we do not tick any amount under the TnG Zing card amount, it will automatically load RM 100 in the TnG card. If we want to cancel the TnG Zing card, the balance will be refunded back to the credit card, but RM5.00 processing fee will be incurred. This feels so unfair.

Anyone who has successfully refused the TnG Zing card while retaining only the Cash Rebates card AND without getting any penalty for processing fees?

Thank you in advance! notworthy.gif

this zing card can be called a failure for cimb cc. all that money and effort wasted!

becos 9/10 people they issue to don't want it.

this is the way it works:

.. the project calls for every card member to be given a zing foc, they dish it out regardless u want or not
.. it needs activation at a toll both
.. if nothing specified, the first activation will transfer rm100 from cc to this zing
.. if u do not activate it, it will not be active but is not dead
.. to kill it, u need to call them, no charges
.. not activating and not killing it runs the risk of losing the zing for somebody to use it until u realise it
*
I see, noted. Thanks. Just like you advised, it's better to call them to cancel it before someone uses the card, only to realise after the cc statement is out blink.gif shocking.gif I don't want to have a 'time-bomb' card.

Has anyone read in details the FAQs on the CIMB Cash Rebate MasterCard Programme vers. 3?

I would like to enquire on the category of E-Commerce/Online Spend (cash rebate 5.0%) where the Eligible Merchants/MCC is POSMODE 81. I tried to search for the list of Merchants under POSMODE 81, but there seems to be none.

My question is: Does e-commerce/online spend means anything that I pay online such as clothes, health products etc? Or only certain listed merchants under POSMODE 81?

Thank you.

Well, technically all online transaction is classified under Posmode 81 (Those that uses Mastercard Securecode are guarantied to be Posmode 81). However, there are some merchants that does not process your purchase online. They gather all your CC details and then process it manually. These merchants are not eligible for the discount but so far I've only encountered 2 of them.

I see, so most likely a big number of merchants will accept. But then again, have to try and error also cause you've mentioned some will still process manually.

Thank you for info rclxms.gif

no CS called me after I applied online. I called the card centre and got to know that my card has just been approved - this is applied through branch. Seems like no cash back bonus for me cry.gif

Just received my cash rebate card today. I wanted to link it with my existing cimbclicks account. When I called to the CIMB customer service, they said I needed the PIN number to proceed n passed me to CIMB Card Centre. After verification, they told me that the PIN willl be mailed to me within 7 days *groans* is it possible to create the PIN online (e-pin) n somehow combine it with my existing cimbclicks account?

Thank you.

I used my cimb cash rebate card to pump petrol@shell this morning. I only pumped RM 52, but received an sms that a transaction of RM 200 was charged to my card *shocked*

Which amount will be reflected in my end-of-month statement? When I checked my online statement, the amount RM200 was deducted from my credit limit sad.gif

Another thing is I used the card to shop online 2 days ago, the credit limit was also deducted, but the item did not appear in estatement. does it usually take a few days for CIMB to update their online transaction? My experience with MBB2Cards is the transaction usually appear immediately or at most 1 day after that.

Tq.

1. They will just hold your RM 200 limit for a few days. Your statement will be reflected as RM 52.

2. CIMB is pretty slow on their posting. Normally it will appear 2-3 days after your transaction.

TQ for the clarification smile.gif

hey guys for cimb rm10 for gsc movie ticket....

so on the spot during payment online will pay rm10 for each ticket or pay the original price first?

den the rm10 per ticket still got 15+5% discount?
*
You will only need to pay RM10 and booking fee per ticket purchased through gsc.com.my when you checkout.
If you choose the rm10/ticket promo, then it cannot be combined with the 15+5% discount (as stated in the terms and conditions,... not applicable with other promotions)

when reset the password for cimb clicks for credit card, what does e-pin mean?
*
E-pin is generated from cimb website, no need to wait for the credit card pin to arrive by post (as informed by 1 of the CS at branch)

I just applied my card 2 weeks back by sending them an email with application forms.
After that, i just know that there is an on-going campaign with 150 cash back.

Then today i sent them an email and asked if i am entitle with the 150 if my card is approve. The CS told me i am not.. i was like WTF?? Must go through LUCY Channel?

In that case, can i request to cancel the application? and resubmit via LUCY Channel.
*
I left my contacts online also in early August, but was never called me back. I applied through branch and submitted the docs. Got my card 2 weeks after that (application through branch). No RM 150 CB for me sad.gif

Anyone knows how the RM 10 GSC promo works? I tried to key in my CIMB CC info and everything but the price still shows at RM 12.

When you reach the payment page, then the discounted price will be shown.
