Hi, i'm planning to apply for Cash Rebate (MasterCard, not Platinum) card, I want to know some info before apply for it.

1) will it charge me annual fee and Gov Tax (RM50) within first 3 statement? If yes, how to waive it?
2) What is the benefit compare to Platinum card?

cimb cash rebate mastercard come in 2 version: gold & platinum. both are no annual fee & have same benefit. mine is platinum and have CL almost 3x my salary

Just called CIMB to check my application, the CS said I didn't fill up whatever FATCA form. I just filled up whatever sent by the officer to me.

Then, checked back the email correspondence and noticed the application form itself is called FATCA application form. Just wrote back to the officer whom I dealt with earlier, asked him to check internally and if it is so troublesome then I don't want to proceed with this application anymore.

i didn't get the 5% rebate on the first weekend? must i spend on automated fuel dispenser (MCC 5542) to entitle for the 5% cash rebate?

I was fooled by the "10-min Instant Approval" gimmick in CIMBClicks, where I applied the card in Feb, but until now (2 months!!) the status is still pending and nobody has contacted me where I already called twice to ask already.

Is it so difficult to "Approve" or "Reject" my application? I think if later they approve my application, I won't be using it as I have already lost my faith to their superb service. Imagine if they show the same attitude to deal with any fraud case.
