for the divider, refer to the first page

u use divider so that the ram will not bottleneck your overclocking.

for the timing.... you have to know the characteristic of the chips. some chips wont run at tight timings, so loose timing will help to achieve higher ddr speeds. some chips are just lousy, can't even clock high. some which are very good, can run low timings at high ddr speeds. some like voltage.

all these... you got to know the characteristics of each chips. how? use internet.... there's a lot of overclocking forums out there. you can always refer to their results. for example, xtremesystems forum.
With K8 generation AMD.... chipset does not matter at all.

Anyway, need a quick advice (quite urgent coz I think I will go get it tonite), now I want to know whether I should get AM2 X2 or C2D, since my total budget for the upgrade of my computer now had raised to RM2k...

The stuff I intended to buy are :

AM2 X2 3600+
Biostar TF550
Mushkin DDR800 2x512MB (this three stuff will total up around RM1k+)

And now my brother agree to sponsor me another RM1k, so I'm really confused whether I should keep using AM2 or go for C2D?

I'm aiming for heavy gaming, and I already have a Sapphire ATI Radeon X1600XT, so should I ditch the X1600 and get a X1900 or 7900GT?

the best graphics card is the way if you want to go for gaming.

if your new budget allows u to get C2D + X1900/9700 .... i would say yes

if not, stick with AM2.... your graphics card is the better priority

if you are not OC your proc ~ this will be a good choise

but when dealing with OC , Asus's Vdimm max is 1.95V so it limit me here~

i am still waiting Asus Offical result coz seen that at Asus Offical Forum got ppl got reply from Asus, so i will wait for another 1-2 week before i decide to change my mobo~

but this board really look great with copper heat pipe and cool black colour pcb~
