Its not like C2D price diff is RM50 right? Ppl also need to consider budget and availability. I buy AM2 and also able to afford a better GC to play games. No point buying a C2D just to get good superPI.

true laugh.gif unless you wanna do encoding or graphic work maybe getting am2 is a wrong choice smile.gif

if you're from S939 probably it's a 'poor choice'

from S754/S-462... maybe not

lol did u refer the setting i gave earlier.. maybe vcpu not supply right...
and again what's base ram u put? 533?

250*10 = 2500ghz (cpu speed)

DDR base 533: 2500/8 = 312.5 ~ 625DDR

DDR base 667: 2500/6 = 416.6 ~ 833DDR (sure ur ram not capable do this with v1.9v)

divider are vary u need to refer the chart that supply by soulfly..
AM2 oc different than s939 n s754..

i think we need >2.2v to get 800DDR..
u try put 533 base drr first... and vdimm auto..
the cpu u can increase until 1.5.. i've tried before but the temp quite high.. need better cooler to attempt more..

other thing is.. normally X2 3800+ can max 2.6.. so 250fsb should near the ceiling.. and it's par to 5000+.. just try it slowly..

Zalman 9500 AM2 edition
ArticCooling Freezer64 Pro <--- best bang for the buck
Thermaltake Mini Typhoon
Scythe Mine

these heatsinks can be fit without any mod

any other heatsink that uses clip like OEM AMD heatsink also compatible.

Try
FSB = 250
multi = 10x
HT multi = 3x
Vdimm = default
DDR divider = DDR533 (or whatever the BIOS call it)
Timing = default

with this setting, your ram shouldn't be the one holding back. if not stable you might want to increase the cpu voltage.

So far I also cannot pass 250FSB. Last stable result was:
FSB: 246
Mult: 11x
HTT: 4X
DDR: 533 (CPU/9)
Vcore : 1.425
Vmem: Stock
but load was 67C so now on stock speeds

you can run ddr800 at lower voltage depends on the chips and how tight the timing is.
