nice oc result. try to push higher till 3.XGhz

yesterday i try my windsor to 3.05GHz at 1.65v but due to the cheap ram, my system didnt stable

use the lowest ddr divider la...then try push the cpu

u better watch ur temp since its 1.65v
try loose the timing and lower the divider, maybe to 533 or 400..

how ur windsor temp??
what kinda of unstable thing happen?

already try the lowest divider (DDR400), loosen and tighten the timing will not work also

temperature with full load below 50C as i open the case, put on the top of the bookcase with under the full blast aircond

now malas already to do it back

when put under the aircond, my systems' (i meant proc, heatsink, chipset, board etc) temperature is around 15C-22C. Then after sometimes when i remove from the bookcase, it really hard to boot when i overclock a little bit (e.g 2.5GHz) like before. Need to wait the systems to get some 'hot' then only can poc a little bit like before.

is this cold boot?

almost same situation with me..but for me, it happened when my windsor OCed to 2.4GHz and above..when switch on the pc, the monitor will show blank screen for about 30 seconds, then it will proceed BUT with th stock clock and voltage..
so what i did was, i entered the bios, exit and save, then ok

need to 'panas engine' then only can start as usual

my one is after playing with higher clock last nite with the air con, cannot playing with the lower clock. need to play with stock voltage, clock around 5 minutes than can play with lower clock overclocking

kinda hard to understand what u are saying....

when my system is put under the full blast aircon, it boot easily when play with higher voltage (1.575v~1.7v) with higher clock (2.9GHz~3GHz)

but

in the same situation (under the full blast aircon), my system cant even boot when i put a voltage (1.4v~1.5v) and play with lower clock like (2.3GHz~2.7GHz)

except

when i clear cmos and my system set back to stock (2.0GHz at 1.2v), under the same situation also can still boot

Mayb ur rig too cold...need extra voltage to warm up

yup. but now need to cancel my 3GHz project due to my cheap ram and scared of my casing will fall down because i put the casing really2 high to stay close to the aircon

errrmmmm...
that also a cold boot is im not mistaken....
not enough power tu pump up the system...
me also got this problem...
when using 3600++ OC up to 2.7ghz my system cannot turn on after a while been shut down....just can turn on at 2.5ghz...
but after change to 3800++ it all perfact...
although at 3.0ghz setting still can turn on...

i have a question ar, we all overclock kau kau...but have we ever tried to make a fanless CPU ar? Currently im testing out lower voltages at stock speed and trying to make a fanless cpu (experiment mar) anyone care to join me? =D

they all want performance.even silent is performance(wc kits)

some dun wan so much performance mar..can boot up, surf web can d lor...not alwiz play game mar

but from my current test, i sacrifice 6%performance for an additional 25% lower temp on stock HSF, maybe can even go lower? anyway, gotta wait till my water block comes in b4 i OC/UC kau kau >_>

can make fanless system...someone already did it....also can OC it..
use good HSF that can be fanless like synthe ninja or something better then it...

yup..if want WC kits....go for the real high performance one...

performance not alwiz for game..doing work...surfing also need performance for the speed of loadinig time....why need lower the performance where u need can get a good performance with a silent system??
