I am not here to sell you stuff. I am here just to correct you and to crush the "what I heard" rumors.

Campro IAFM normal copper plug after 20,000km (Recommended plug change interval for IAFM by Proton Edar) usage:

haha i am not an anti salesman either...but below are one of the statement of the user...

You ask me ah? I am not an expert leh, so many other sifus around..... blush.gif

As far as I know you may feel smoother acceleration but whether harmful or not you have to find out, but I can contribute the following story.

My mechanic's brother is a technical guy, so following the same theory, he modified and made a module sort of like the one shown to increase the spark. Yes, according to him smoother acceleration, but he melted his spark plugs after running a few km only.....Maybe he over did it, I am not sure, but he took it out and replace the spark plugs..... biggrin.gif

Anyway, there are also theory that mention bigger spark not necessary will complete the burning of the air fuel ratio in the combustion chamber.... sad.gif

original source same as posted on the above...just dunno what his brother modded~~

SOURCE CLICK HERE

Anyway im no expert or engineer~~ sweat.gif
what i "heard" is mostly based on what i "read" in this forum (or zerotohundred)~~i think the user who complain (not the above) the product ultimately change his plugs and moved on~~dunno if there are further feedback from him...

as far as i know...car manufacturers take power boosting technology and fuel consumption saving technology very seriously...
if his product is great~~it could be included in our cars of the future brows.gif

based on the two highlighted posts in red;

1) the user already states that the spark plug melted due to his own modified module which is similar(replicated) to the one shown (assuming it is Firestorm). Just because his own module failed, that doesn't mean Firestorm will do the same. If that is the case, then by now, i will have 252 cases of melted spark plugs, excluding my car and I won't have the shiny spark plugs to be shown to you at the post above.

2) yes, that theory is correct. In a normal car, which is tuned to burn rich, it will burn off lets say, 90% of the fuel injected into the combustion chamber. Adding in Firestorm will enable the burning of fuel to be a bit more efficient, around 92-94%. It will not burn off the mixture 100%.

tested the normal Firestorm for like around 20,000km. plugs no problem. everything else still fine.
then get the Super Firestorm. still using now. another 20,000km and counting. plugs no problem but seems cleaner than V12Kompressor shown.
performance wise is good. i never expect it to be super great.

i feel that almost same , only when you ram the car to high RPM you will fell little bit noisy then CFE .

From what little I understand, the user was not using Firestorm but rather a device of his own design that also creates a larger spark, which I suspect works like those aftermarket performance spark plug cables, which DOES generate extra heat. In the same thread the seller claims that FS produces lower voltage and lower ampere, that's why there is no excessive heat as byproduct. hmm.gif

Would rather you go and change to other brand such as Pioneer/Kenwood..

Accessories shop should be able to tell u if they can integrate with it or not

Both can....kenwood can wiring direct..pioneer must add some device to make steeing control function....but ask shop that they must use connector..so no cable cut....

Hi all Preve owners,

Anyone tried Racechip or other ECU tuning on the market?

How's it so far? Can the CVT gearbox take it in the long term?
