Not sure if the SA just get the newer ANCAP batch, add skirting, change rim and seat. laugh.gif

If one goes to CoSE to enquire to purchase Preve LE, Proton will say there's no more. Go to outside SA, somehow there always is some.
*
because dealers would buy and then keep it in their inventory. Once the dealer signed the car receiving, it is off proton's hand.

Syn 5000 is RM250 a bottle...plus that with labor, draing plug, gasket etc... sad.gif
[WTA] one bottle 4L is enough for the engine or we need 5L? unsure.gif
*
one bottle is enough... actually, don't even need to pour in one whole bottle. best if puured in between 3.7-3.8L.

I am not here to sell you stuff. I am here just to correct you and to crush the "what I heard" rumors.

haha i am not an anti salesman either...but below are one of the statement of the user...

vr2turbo:

You ask me ah? I am not an expert leh, so many other sifus around..... blush.gif

As far as I know you may feel smoother acceleration but whether harmful or not you have to find out, but I can contribute the following story.

My mechanic's brother is a technical guy, so following the same theory, he modified and made a module sort of like the one shown to increase the spark. Yes, according to him smoother acceleration, but he melted his spark plugs after running a few km only.....Maybe he over did it, I am not sure, but he took it out and replace the spark plugs..... biggrin.gif

Anyway, there are also theory that mention bigger spark not necessary will complete the burning of the air fuel ratio in the combustion chamber.... sad.gif

original source same as posted on the above...just dunno what his brother modded~~

SOURCE CLICK HERE

Anyway im no expert or engineer~~ sweat.gif
what i "heard" is mostly based on what i "read" in this forum (or zerotohundred)~~i think the user who complain (not the above) the product ultimately change his plugs and moved on~~dunno if there are further feedback from him...

as far as i know...car manufacturers take power boosting technology and fuel consumption saving technology very seriously...
if his product is great~~it could be included in our cars of the future  brows.gif

based on the two highlighted posts in red;

1) the user already states that the spark plug melted due to his own modified module which is similar(replicated) to the one shown (assuming it is Firestorm). Just because his own module failed, that doesn't mean Firestorm will do the same. If that is the case, then by now, i will have 252 cases of melted spark plugs, excluding my car and I won't have the shiny spark plugs to be shown to you at the post above.

2) yes, that theory is correct. In a normal car, which is tuned to burn rich, it will burn off lets say, 90% of the fuel injected into the combustion chamber. Adding in Firestorm will enable the burning of fuel to be a bit more efficient, around 92-94%. It will not burn off the mixture 100%.

Had a look at the new MY14 Preve while searching for the Almera

Noticed that the CFE badging all gone.

Worse still, engine cover and air intake had a very shoddy paint job sweat.gif
*
Almera engine nicer. no stupid paint job.

right right right.

Sorry if this is repeated, doesn't seem to find the answer.
How to check whether the car is using the new gearbox? From which batch on the car is using new gearbox? What are the improvement?
*
if you cant hear any whining sound at speed below 80kph, then high chances you are in a preve with VT3+

The transition from VT3 to VT3+ starts from the ANCAP version (6 airbags). So if your preve has 6 airbags, high chances it comes with Vt3+ also.

Hmm so the vt3+ solve the whining sound, any other improvement?
*
mostly NVH.

The ratio is also different a bit, but in terms of performance and FC wise, not affected. Mostly for NVH reduction.

so do u have any idea which chasis number?
*
chasis number is not a very accurate indication. but the general rule is, if your preve CFE comes with 6 airbags, high chances it comes together with Vt3+

not necessary. ANCAP model means the model of preve that is specced to achieve the 5 star Aussie NCAP assessment program. It has 6 airbags and ESC as standard. Both Premium and Executive have them.
