Guys been using my car for 2 weeks. 1st time i pour petrol rm80. I didnt off the engine so was referring to the fuel bar assumed full wen saw d bar reached full and refered to price rm 80.

2nd time pour petrol after the light blinked maybe 10-15km i would have travelled. I paid rm80 assuming the 1st time its full tank price.
Today 3rd time i pour petrol, I drived till light blinked maybe <10Km. I paid advance so didnt limit to rm80. Wanted to see how much full tank. Poured at night. previously i poured at daytime which was hot afternoon. This time i put the petrol nozzle to auto and waited. It stopped at rm92+. so manualy pressed til rm93 and stopped.

Walao rm93 is for full tank? why so much? im using preve cvt auto. Just passed 1k and havent go yet for service. Next week will go for service. Do share what type of oil supposed to use.

Normally I fill my car to full also around rm90 to rm98. Got one time I fill to full tank exactly rm100. But that time tank almost empty. Zero fuel bar.

Hey everyone,

Firstly, I'm a newbie getting my first car. Already submitted my docs for the loan, crossing fingers now!
Should be no problem, docs are quite strong.
I'm getting a 2014 Prevé Premium. Very very excited!

Just wanted to get some opinions from all the sifus here on some things.

1. What are the things to check on the car when I got it?
2. I'm getting the car from Johor, and taking it back to Kuantan in a 4 hours drive. Will it be a proper trip to pop the cherry (iykwim)?
3. The acceleration advertised by proton is 9.8 seconds. Is that for real? That's a lot of power for a 1600cc car.

Been perusing this thread for nights! Thanks in advance, guys!

Bro, I also from kuantan. Maybe can go for a drink later. biggrin.gif

If want jimat minyak.. need to buy God's car - Vios...

lol.. but first let us know what do you mean makan/jimat minyak..

The first thing that comes on people's mind is when they start comparing Preve to a B Segment T&H Sedan... then furthermore comparing the petrol of B Segment T&H...

Do they know Preve is a C Segment car?

My 2 cents here...

I used to aim for the one with the best FC to save petrol money. BUT when you look deeper, is it really worth it/doing the right thing for you?

Why?

Say, I spend about RM2000 on petrol yearly. So, if I can find a car with very good FC giving me 20% better FC. That will only save me RM2000 * 20% = RM400 per year. Is this RM400 worth the other sacrifices I let go (e.g. car size, comfort etc)?

By the way, Mit Attrage has one of the best FC at 22 km/litre. BUT engine is only 1.2 litre. Too small for average family use. For single, perfect!

Of course, don't get the one with below industrial average FC. Average FC or better will do. Don't use FC as the final deciding factor in buying a car.

I used to put on my "green environment" hat at work but now, my learning is not to go for either of the two extremes (0 % green or 100% green) but somewhere in the middle.

Cheerio.

Unless, of course, if you can find car that excels both in features and FC, but as you already know, it's impossible.

The flow will always go back to

- Personal Preference
- Affordability
- Personal Usage Pattern

to determine what's best for you.

if u cruise often, the cvt (or call it auto if u prefer) gives better fc, because cvt can maintain speeds at lower engine rpm

Hi all, just to ask, does any one experience a noisy judder when you wind down your drivers window?

Also, thinking of going to upgrade my player to a 7in one with all thrown in GPS, Rear cam, BT, etc... Will I be risking my overall warranty? Or only limited to my media player?

Thanks

Noisy judder, it does happen on the first batch of the Preve owners. Visit service centre and get the power window coil replaced, the sound will be gone for good.

As long as u do not temper the original cabin wire hardness, warranty for wiring will intact.
A professional installer will apply a PLUG converter on the BOSCH head unit wiring socket, and then plug into your new head unit. With this method, no wiring temper involve but do pay for the converter, its not FOC.

Fc depends on your right foot.
If you have a heavy right foot, surely Fc will increase.
No matter auto or manual.
