As I know, Saga SV is getting one year free service (labour + parts). Saga standard/executive getting yes 4G + 3 years free service. Saga 1.6 FLX getting 1k discount, yes 4G + 3 years free service.
Common Proton models usually will come with a minimum of 3 free labour service (1k, 5k, 10k and must be redeemed within 12 months from the car collection date)
Perodua free service only cover engine oil, oil filter and labour. Customer need to pay drain plug, parts, etc.

dares, that particular mod seem to be known to Proton Edar as warranty void. I have removed mine and try to claim warranty for the new engine mounting design, but I dun feel much vibration now.
plumberly, Preve ANCAP 2014 do share the same engine mounting design as Suprima S. I have to admit they are not completely vibration proof but at least it isn't as bad as before.
My car is year 2012 and still with the original engine mounting design, not much vibration if you ask me unless I do hard acceleration from standstill. Besides that, its a rock solid car.
Preve doesn't come with any extended warranty package like VW and Peugeot. It will be limited 5 years manufacturer warranty.

QUOTE(Logi1300 @ Jul 3 2014, 09:28 AM) Hi Morning, I am interested on Preve Executive CVT model. I would like to know the function of Gear S for Executive CVT model. Is it the same as CFE model, and it can pull the Gear directly from D to S. For example, I am driving at 80km/h, but I would like to overtake a car. So can I change to Gear S for me to overtake the car ? Due to my understanding, S gear is lower gear, sudden change from high speed to lower gear will cause any problem? Can give me some idea on how Gear S work ? Thanks. S is more like performance mode for CVT gearbox in Preve. The gearbox basically will change gear at more aggressive RPM. You only use S mode when the power delivery at D mode is not sufficient.

QUOTE(:3mushy:3 @ Jul 3 2014, 07:25 AM) Yes, but with the recent changes in window tinting regulation, I'm hoping by adding another layer, it would still pass the test. Of course, homework first. Change the windscreen tint to something with 95% heat rejection. I did for few PrevoC members around RM500 for the windscreen front, they are very happy guys now, so are their gf/wives.

QUOTE(plumberly @ Jul 3 2014, 09:14 AM) Noted and thanks. Cheerio. All Preve sold currently is ANCAP version, already with latest engine mounting design. As long as it comes with 6 airbags, EVP, you are pretty much safe. 3k discount from Proton, and additional discount from dealer, pretty good buy.

QUOTE(nelsonmui87 @ Jul 3 2014, 03:01 PM) wonder did preve executive can do the same as CFE or not. Using D all the way to genting and cameron Any exec owner got comment? Among PrevoC members, we did 17 cars convoy from Ipoh to Cameron. If not mistaken, few of them were Exec (manual and CVT), they reached the location without issue, just don't expect acceleration power as similar to CFE. And many of them did Genting convoy too.

QUOTE(plumberly @ Jul 4 2014, 12:15 PM) Like to know whether it is OK to switch from D to N when going down a slope or cruising towards a red traffic light? Frequent use of that will damage the gear? Or better just leave it in D most of all the time? Cheerio. P/S Another question, they state 10,000 km or 6 months whichever comes first for servicing the car. I have a 2nd Proton which has low mileage, about 3,000 km after 6 months. Now, why the 6 months limitation? The lub oil will degrade even when in low usage? Yes. Lubricant does have "expiry" date The free gear method as I know, only apply to manual gearbox. For automatic gearbox, not advisable to do that. I would say leave to D most of the time, while the car is cruising. Just control the right foot. This post has been edited by allenultra: Jul 4 2014, 12:40 PM

QUOTE(mysai @ Jul 5 2014, 08:00 PM) Hi all, just to ask, does any one experience a noisy judder when you wind down your drivers window? Also, thinking of going to upgrade my player to a 7in one with all thrown in GPS, Rear cam, BT, etc... Will I be risking my overall warranty? Or only limited to my media player? Thanks Noisy judder, it does happen on the first batch of the Preve owners. Visit service centre and get the power window coil replaced, the sound will be gone for good. As long as u do not temper the original cabin wire hardness, warranty for wiring will intact. A professional installer will apply a PLUG converter on the BOSCH head unit wiring socket, and then plug into your new head unit. With this method, no wiring temper involve but do pay for the converter, its not FOC.
