I get my annual fee of rm300+rm150 and government tax rm50+rm 25. Can i apply to Waive the annual fee. It too high amt to pay.

HLB will not consider AF waiver until you threaten to cancel the card. Tax definitely can't waive.
Consider downgrade to Wise Gold and substitute supp card with prepaid Giant, Tesco, Aeon gifts card or vouchers purchased by principal card.( if your category is grocery).

Currently Hlb offer free AF for new supp card. So maybe can cancel both and reapply gold + supp again.

MBB dual card. This is the first card you shall get when you are entitled for applying > 1 card.
But have to pay rm100 of GST, AMEX will have 5% of cash back(no restrictions at all, only restrictions on merchant due to they don't want to pay 4.5-5% of service charge, Master and Visa only charge 1-3%) on weekends. Not to mention 5X TP everyday by using AMEX. You can use the TP to offset the GST.
Some new card users are still paying rm50 of GST. When they charge you rm100, you can apply to get rm50 waived and the chances of getting waived are quite high, unlike WISE that will be wasting your time and phone call's charge.

3. Cash back given is based on round-up to the nearest RM
eg.
Total Spend : RM545
10% Cash Back : RM54.50
HLB gives Cash Back amount : RM55.00

4. Maximum achieveable nett cashback >10% (due to the round-up mechanism used by HLB)

*
Is this calculation on per-category basis? So for example if you spend 545 on groceries you get RM55 under grocery category and you spend another 345 on utilities you get RM35 there?

yes, which is why we can spend rm985 and still get rm100 cb. this is the most minimum amount to spend but still get rm100 cb.

Yup you are right. The calculation is rounded up per category so it is possible to get RM100 rebate with spending of RM985 !

bro, don't get confused. "dual cards" is the term used by hlb while "2 cards" is the term used by mbb. unless you mean "mbb dua cards". lol...

yes, new users of mbb2cards can benefit from the new promo to get rm100 with 3 swipes, which solve the rm100 gst issue. even better than old users time where we need to use our hard earned tp to strike off the rm50 gst.

if using platinum (or above) for both mbb and hlb, the calls made to them is free (including using mobile phone) but provided you are calling in malaysia.

Bro, you probably confused with 1-300 local call.
1-800 is toll free to all lines. (Free call)
1-300 is local call to all lines. (Pay local call rate accordingly to your respective telco call plan)

just came back from 3 days holiday still so sarcastic? maybe you need longer holiday to release your stress. hmm.gif

QUOTE(supersound @ Sep 27 2014, 12:09 PM)
bro, buat apa ambik thread lama-lama nie? have you tried yourself? you can continue to be ignorant, but i have been calling for free all the time using hotlink to both mbb and hlb platinum numbers 1800.

ok, very easy to do a simple test. if anybody have hotlink, you can just try to call those 1800 numbers, hung up after 1-2 seconds. it will show the cost of the call. if it's free, call again and talk as long as you want. if it's not free, just cry for help, and someone may donate money to you to make a call back home to your mama.
