QUOTE(Wongchoy @ May 19 2014, 10:12 PM) With the recently launch of Public Bank Visa Signature which cover grocery dining and online transaction, do you all think this is a worthy upgrade from wise card. My wise card anniv is coming late June and i'm considering my options now. As some of you might be aware, my wise category is Dining and grocery so it is sort of a direct replacement. The benefit of PBB AF waiver leaves me a positive impression about this card. For the past year, i have enjoyed the wise card benefit so much, that after OCBC Titanium is converted to 1% and i duly cancelled it, i do not hesitate to apply for a 2nd card thru my wife name for utility and petrol usage. I would also not maintain both cards since my spending on dining and grocery is less than 1k a month. But since AF waiver for wise card is not guaranteed, I'd like to hear from you. Get PBB VS or maintain wise card and hope to qualify for AF waiver. Thank you Definitely worth applying PB VS, much better than Wise, as there are Wise users claimed their transaction being delayed such that they do not meet the minimum 10 swipe of minimum RM50 to entitle for cash rebate. PBB VS does not have such condition of minimum transaction nor minimum amount to qualify for cash rebate. Not to mention the annual fee waiver for PB VS, whereas Annual fee for Wise cannot be waived, except for an exceptional few.

Damn, just received my statement, only 1 out of 5 petrol transactions categorized under "Petrol"

QUOTE(Wongchoy @ May 19 2014, 11:30 PM) It will be close to 10% if AF is waived I never consider the AF being waived, as when it is waived, I'll consider it as bonus. Else I'll stick to 8.25% for easier calculation(as I'm selling back some of my groceries out)

Having thinking all night, i have decided to apply for PB VS and maintain my wise card. Having both cards will enable me to judge which is a better card. PBVS is absolutely free for the next 12 months . And best if wise AF is waived. But since i never spent outside grocery, dining and mobile bills on my wise card and i pay in full every month, The possibility of waiver is very small indeed !
