I have savvy but not mine. Belong to dad. Sit at kampung, only used for pegi pasar.

Dad's savvy is amt 2006. Have spend alot of $$$ to keep it kickin on the road. We had try to sell many times but no luck at all. Then we decided to keep it and we also thinking to start car project. This project maybe prolong as we need to start make saving some $$$.

1st thing come to mind is tranny & engine. We come out with few option :

1. Change amt to manual tranny. But problem is only both of us has the skill to drive it. The rest of family all kaki kiri suda keras.

2. Buy halfcut (engine + tranny) of d-type engine (most of it are renault clio). Our savvy is d4f engine and it shud be no problem to transplant. PnP. But the problem is hard to get one.

3. Buy halfcut (engine + tranny) of k2/k4 engine (k2 is toyota yaris, k4 is starlet terubok... everybody's favourite. Hehe). Its an alternatif to make transplant since it reliable.... and jucier too. But the problem is its toyota... put in renault chassis??? That would be a lot of hefty job. For sure chassis kena potong welding itu ini. Last2 cost is bombastic, duit not fantastic

My Savvy is AMT, they told me need to change Auto oil and manual oil. They used the same oil for both...

Then you have a big problem looming.

You are supposed to use ONLY Elf Renaultmatic D3 SYN as your AMT fluid.

It will act as hydraulic fluid for the actuators.

The manual transmission fluid CANNOT be used for the AMT system.

What sort of mechanic do you have?

Thanks for the information, then what should i use for manual transmission fluid? But it is already 1 year and my car is running fine.

Must use this model only? Where can I get good price? Thanks

This manual transmission oil for the Savvy is highly recommended.
Change every 100,000km only. RM45 per litre, so 4 litres is RM180.

Hi experts, seeking your advice on one of a problem in my savvy. After i switch On the Aircon, there is no compressor start sound. So i believe its the compressor problem ?
Which would be the recommendable shop to repair ? i am staying at shah alam. Thanks.

last few week raining and my brake cannot go and skid and fly , i dowan to sway left to divider on highway or right to fast lane slamming ppl , so no choice i hv to brake slowly , if tekan all brake , i will twist 360degree,

i hit a kancil , bumper scratches both of us ,
and then i came to know a week later my front tyre almost botak , i switch rear tyre to front , and swap ,with balancing it is only rm16 charged.

i want to change my tyre next month

i notice mostly people converted engine they want to sell ,

not 100% , sure got some unsolvable problem when converted ,

What size is your tires? If 15,can get around rm150/pc

15inch, original 5.5jj size , (using swift rims now)
rm150 is what brand ,

from what i know goodyear is the most expensive right
