speed meter sometimes goes to zero, sometimes works ok.

does it mean the speed sensor confirmed spoilt and need to change brand new one?

or, any alternative solutions?

Finally bidding farewell to my lovely ride over the past 5 years since 2011.

It was a hard decision seeing that I kept it in excellent condition throughout (not a single scratch) and still look as good as it was when I took it from the Proton showroom.

No major complain except costly spare parts and maintenance cost.

Have to say I'll definitely miss Savvy's legendary ride & handling and real comfort on the road, not to mention its unbeatable fuel efficiency.

I sold it to my regular mechanic (a Savvy-expert) this afternoon at RM4.5k. I told him that in an ideal world, our Savvy actually worth more than that but for poor product knowledge from Proton and wrong strategy applied by their management after Savvy roll-out in 2005.

P/s: Oh ya, one more thing to members who are driving AMT variant. I have bought one NEW original AMT gear lever but never use (Made in France it says). Still in my possession. If not mistaken i bought it for around RM900. Anybody interested pls let me know as it is of no use to me now. Planning to let it go for just RM300. My contact is 016-9975198

How much is a new speed sensor nowadays?

I paid RM200 at Renautech about 3 years ago.

It is now spoiled again.

On and off, the yellow AUTO light come on the dashboard and the speedometer drops to 0 while driving and jerks a bit.

Sometimes the AMT changes from D to N at the traffic light.

By the way, what is the symptom of low AMT fluid?

Hi, I own a 08 plate savvy and I live in the UK. I have owned the car now for just under 12 months and have had the same problem since it's purchase. The car will illuminate an ecu light and idle at 2000 revs when the car first starts after being sat for under a day. If the car has been started before hand this issue will not occur. To solve this issue I have to turn the key in the ignition until the dashboard illuminates and leave it in this position for 10 seconds or so. When the engine is then started the problem is gone.

Looking at the history of my car, I can see that the throttle body was renewed last year. I did go ahead and clean the throttle body with some cleaner but that did not seem to help, the car also jerks when pulling away in 1st gear.

Further History shows that the car was perhaps damage in water. Thank you for any help that you can provide.

Hmm anyone knows why my 2nd gear requires more force to engage compared to the other gears? I just changed my clutch recently, before that my reverse gear was the one hard to engage. Manual Savvy btw.

Hi, guys...wanna ask something...recently I feel a bit diff when driving my savvy...I think it all started around last Monday...while driving I noticed that when I pressed on the clutch pedal, the tension is slightly less than how it used to feel before...and there's a 'krukk..krukk' sound whenever I pressed on the clutch pedal whereas before this quite only, no noise pun...secondly, after the clutch thing happened, whenever I pressed on the gas pedal after shifting gear, my rpm will go up like really high but no increase in speed/power (like no acceleration at all)...after a while the rpm will go back to normal and my car accelerate normally...to avoid sudden increase in rpm, I adjusted by pressing the gas pedal slowly...imagine when you try to exit from a roundabout and you car make this loud noise when you try to accelerate but your car got no speed ~sigh~ anyone knows what the prob is? Appreciate your feedback...tq
