QUOTE(dinbk90 @ Aug 15 2018, 05:24 PM) Hello guys.. I just restored my dad's lc v1 recently since my dad just only changed the eo regularly but neglected the other maintenance.. So I already changed the tire both, air filter, spark plug, brake pad and even eo as well. I notice that the fuel consumption is aint really that good. One tank can only go like 120 km distance with aggressive riding style.. or to be precise 35 km/l. Is this considered normal fuel consumption rate for lc? or I need to also service the carb? I feel like the lc kuat makan petrol alot compared to my previous kriss.. welcome.I dunno whether I'm the one who feel like the lc kuat makan petrol or I've been spoilt with the injection kapcai since I use honda dash as my daily ride.. That number is about average for LC. Could be better. Learn to tinkle with the Pilot screw just slightly to see the difference. QUOTE(StarprickStarfish @ Aug 16 2018, 11:13 AM) Otai2 boleh tak up gambar motor latest. Ramai dah jual motor, pergi negara lain, kerja, berkeluarga... basically kejar impian tinggalkan LC.Yang ada kat 1st page tak update gambar sama dari V2 sampai V18. Nak recond motor lama sikit2 buat ilham QUOTE(XeLLisCompleX @ Aug 16 2018, 11:22 AM) Ada sangkut-paut... piston ring, oil consumption, plug condition, fuel consumption...QUOTE(StarprickStarfish @ Aug 17 2018, 01:01 PM) Tumpang tanya.. Try O-ring chain. RK ada jenis bajet under RM100 can get.Ada yang mod rantai sproket bagi hilang bunyi x..? Lc rantai cepat kendur and very noisy leh. Overwhelm the sexy v1 engine and muffler sound. v2 above bunyi dah x minat macam bunyi dalam tong.. Follow y15 and RS also same very2 noisy chain and sprocket x dengar engine unless they pecut.. And kalau ada yang suggest me tukar pom pom exhaust or std cutting to cover the loud chain sprocket sound, no don wan because v1 stock exhaust already sedap cukup rasa bunyi dia.. QUOTE(StarprickStarfish @ Aug 20 2018, 07:21 AM) Hmmm Orang baru tak ramai yg ikut LYN. Saya ikut sejak V3 kalau tak silap.Group so sunyi, not like old version.. Otai2 dah xde. Kesian us newer generation nak belajar about LC Nak belajar, mula dengan baca dan ikut manual dulu. Lepas tu, cari keinginan dan cari jalan/akal. Ada cara yg jimat duit, ada yg memang makan modal... tengok cara apa yg disukai, paparkan di sini boleh bincang. QUOTE(-cmi- @ Aug 20 2018, 03:29 PM) Hi. Nubis here. I just changed CJ Ipoh MB cutting standard exhaust for my LC V2 4s. Is it compatible with my standard engine? Concern about long term usage especially to my engine. I read somewhere it should give no prob but some said it will in long term. Hoping for expert advise. Ty After you change exhaust, low end power also gone a bit.Normal people will tend to rev higher to bring in more power. With higher rev, engine will wear out faster. Also, the luck with engine damage also higher. With proper maintenance, they should still live with normal service interval. |

QUOTE(basilisk @ Oct 3 2018, 01:03 PM) hi guys, i wana ask.. Do you mean the ECU mod to sound like V-twin engine. I saw a video, but couldn't find it now.several times i hv encounter lc tht sounds really good. its like big bike sound. cos the ekzos during idling is not ' dot dot dot dot' liddat.. is like alot of gas gushing out kinda feel.. so im not sure its tweaked idling.. like ' idling kuda' type? or bcos of the ekzos..? haiya.. instead of taking pic.. i shud hv recorded the sound. QUOTE(cahayamalamku @ Oct 5 2018, 08:28 AM) I have installed the filter last night. Gone the carb. 'ceh ceh ceh' noise and this morning on the way to my workplace, everything works well until around 7.5k rpm (110km/h) my bike is like suffocating. previously, I could revving up to 12k rpm (not yet full throttle) without problem... also the exhaust fume is stronger. yup my carb. is now rich and i feel too rempit That type of carb filter has these characteristics and effect:- make carb runner length longer, top end gone. Effectively, it doubled your intake manifold length, so low end may gain just a bit. At high RPM, your bike is suffocated. - small plenum area, AF-ratio becomes rich all the time. - hard end cover at the top of filter, multiple resonance effect making bike loss power at different RPM range. Compared to stock airbox with the following characters: - shorter runner length, better mid to high end. - bigger plenum, less likely to suffocate. - better noise suppression, less likely to have resonance effect. |

QUOTE(cahayamalamku @ Oct 18 2018, 02:52 PM) forgive me if this is an inappropriate question and I have no intention to give bad reputation to the product but I really want to know whether this kind of product really works? it said no need to go for topset service/ top overhaul, just use this liquid instead. I just wondering how it 'removes' the carbon... Did you try google 'engine decarbonize'? Even water mist can be used to decarbonize engine.[attachmentid=10074928] Maybe added some alcohol or ethanol, injecting these things into running engine will sure give lots of white smoke. Or, can use really good 2T also decarbonize engine, such as marine 2T or JASO FD grade, due to high detergency. Add 2ml at a time into full tank petrol and shake well. Or, to be on the safe and sane side, use some quality fuel injector cleaner fuel additives. These are better than adding water into your engine IMO. QUOTE(iewann @ Oct 19 2018, 04:58 PM) There are one workshop here that keep pressure me to do "engine cleaning" said that they used filtered water (idk if it water mist or not). Each time i changes eo, they offer me with that service and even show me the machine, they said that my drained eo got pasir or carbon kotor etc that need cuci, "dont worry it just water, can remove clutch slip also". Water in my engine? well no thanks esp in crankcase. Well idk whether it really a need to do so, any opinions about that? Thanks for sharing.Oh yes theres a product named Zero carbon, quite famous one time. i think just another decarbonize product. Well for me a few times of RON97 with a few of hard riding high rpm should do the cleaning in the combustion chamber i think. Higher octane petrol has more detergent properties added EO got pasir or dirt, maybe too old EO never change, until oil filter also clogged, and triggered the bypass and let all the dirt go into oil sump. EO and fuel should not mix, if compression is good, because piston ring suppose to separate these elements - fuel on top, EO at the bottom. Only one type of decarbonize I know, that is to inject to the top of piston and burn together with fuel. Those that mix into oil sump is another type I have yet to hear about. |

Recently heard the kuda sound Y15ZR in person.
To watch it on youtube is one thing, but to actually come face to face with one, is another. I guess it appeals to different type of users, but I am not one of them. |

QUOTE(zorkorion @ Oct 30 2018, 10:20 AM) welcome here. feel free to comment more.QUOTE(cahayamalamku @ Oct 30 2018, 11:52 AM) for rear 2.5 rim, default tyre size was 100/70-17 and currently using 100/80-17. can 90/90-17 fit well into the rim? what's the smallest tyre size can be fit into the 2.5 rim ye? Pick a tyre that doesn't have center groove. Smallest can go 80/80. Comfortably, 80/90.
Choose a size that's bigger than 90, up to 0.7 height, such as 90/70 (0.63), 90/80 (0.72), 100/70 (0.7). |

QUOTE(cahayamalamku @ Oct 31 2018, 08:36 AM) thanks for the replies sifus... It will go in, but the question is should you use them that way.I put 90/80 on my 2.5, 80/90 on 2.15, 80/80 on 1.6/1.8... and so does many riders. I think it's better to spend on good rubber with smaller size, vs cheap rubber on big size. |
