Hi guys, currently using LC v4 4k+km on odo. Long distance 100-120km per day better to use semi or fully engine oil? tq
*
FS or SS is not so important, is the base oil quality.
Please see page 1 for recommended oil list.
You can use HDEO as well.

Hey bros need ur help on my problem my lc v2:

1. When full throttle after some time will jerk2 and when throttle abit no respond and sometimes the engine shut off. Already change spark plug and CDI from brt to standard still the same.
*
check plug. could be plug dead or fuel delivery problem.
another possible cause, the petrol cock in the fuel tank is dirty.
some service history of your bike is appreciated...

QUOTE(Uqail&Ufairah @ Feb 14 2017, 03:14 PM)
Assalamualaikum & Hi to All,

Currently im installing Kawasaki AR125 wheel on my Yamaha 135LC V1. We found out the alignment of the wheel close to right (if we facing on the bike from the front - off centre). After a few modification yet its still 3-5cm off centre as we grind the disc bracket extension.

So my question is:
1. How can i align to dead centre of the wheel or
2. I need to chance T-Shaft and fork. If yes what other bike suits on this AR125 wheel and fits 135LC bike.

Hope any of the forumers can help me sort this thing out. Every comments and help very much appreciated.
*
1. You need the width of the rim hub, measured at outer face of bearings from left to right.
2. Calculate the remaining width needed, for the extension installed, to get a good fit to the fork or rear swingarm.
3. For the brake disk, you need to compare if disc to rim center is same as LC standard. If it is not, you need to compensate the caliper.

Hope it makes sense. You might need new extension sets and restart working on the installation.
Remember, fit the rims first, then the brake caliper. Do these separately.

serezI heard it is good, but I am skeptical.
Normally, this is where I search: https://engineoil.api.org/Directory/EolcsSearch
I did, and Polytron doesn't show up.

As for MTC, that is very famous for 'Military Grade' applications, someone searched and translated its ingredients:
CODE
< 3%:
Aliphatic Petroleum Distillates Mixture of:
- 64742-54-7 [Hydrotreated Distillate, Heavy Paraffin... "hydraulic fluid"]
- 64742-55-8 [Hydrotreated Distillate, Light Paraffin]
The mixture contains DMSO< 3%

<3%:
CAS 9003-29-6 [polybutenes]
EINECS: 500-004-7

30-60%:
CAS 8042-47-5 [white paraffin oil]
EINECS: 232-455-8

25-45%
CAS 61788-90-7 [coco dimethylamine oxide]
EINECS: 263-016-9

<3%
Oxidation Inhibitor & Detergent

It is basically oil stabilizer and contains nothing special.

bros, tumpang tanya..
hari ni nak pegi renew roadtax + insurans untuk y15zr. esok birthday dia keluar kedai.
insurans sekarang pakai p&o, all rider, comprehensive. kalau hari ni nak renew berapa modal ye? kat pejabat pos boleh tak untuk all rider?
*
Tengok harga tahun lepas, agak sama saja selagi motor bawah 5 tahun.
P&O biasanya paling murah, kalau walk-in main branch ada 10% diskaun. Insurans lain pun bagi diskaun sama.
Pejabat pos buat roadtax, RM4.10 (GST), JPJ buat RM2.10 (GST).
Kalau nak beli insurans kat pejabat pos pun ada, cuma kadang2 system down, apa pun tak leh buat. Baik buat insurans asing2.

Why so often change oil? Waste money and can wearout engine faster.

anybody got experience using SBK 65mm Forged Piston?

how is it if compare with FJN Piston that come with CMS block?
*
A good piston is only as good as the person who installs it. Forged piston is suitable for low clearance application, but no longer offer much advantage than modern cast pistons.

Yeah, he answered you already, but also depending on your appetite, budget, and choices available, you can post them here for a poll.
I personally think HDEO is economic solution.

*
I haven't heard of that term. My best guess would be, the distance of the clutch engage position of the lever as you press it?
I took few rides to get used to handclutch, shouldn't be that difficult as long as you practice.

hidzwanwelcome to the club. Did u break in the bike properly with mineral oil? Also, are u using the right oil? xW-50 or xW-60 only.

shyan90'sWhat does 'clutch boss' look like? Is it the one in the middle, or the basket on the outside?
Only happens to clutch version, right?

standard black KYB most durable.
check ur mono first, when press down the rear handlebar, is it damping?

what is CDI?
It take care of firing angle. For bike with TPS, O2 sensor and injection, it's more like an ECU, where it controls firing angle and fuel map.

my mono still good but too soft..when riding single still good..cornering still good(perhaps) but when i carried a passenger..it just cannot handle the weight..*ps im not that obese..80kg 😁..plus a passenger around 60kg...

so fuel consumption is heavily relying on cdi? because my fc is quite bad..maybe need to change the cdi back to stock
tqvm
*
Tighten the spring preload.
Fuel consumption is more depending on carb setting and spark plug. Not sure your bike model, injection or TPS carb?

shyan90's Change your oil as much as you like, 1k or 2k. I just don't think it's necessary, especially with the good oil you're using.

hakim1994 Oil isn't your problem. Have a mechanic check your bike.

@alexei

i'm using rimula r4x..when do you think i should change my EO..?
currently using the EO for 1.2k...using town area only...seldom use for long ride (180km) every 1 month..
tq...
*
R4X is a good oil. It is mineral based.

So, keep to 6k max oil change interval as recommended by Yamaha, or 6 months whichever comes first.
5k oil change is safe enough, IMO. This is assuming bike is in good condition.

Good condition means:
- piston and rings - no compression loss causing fuel blow by into the crankcase and diluting the oil.
- working cooling system: radiator, thermostat, coolant.
- air filter
- oil filter
- clutch plates are changed following recommended interval

Yeah, that's so odd. I triple checked, all LC135 owner's manual says 6k km change oil. 12k km change oil filter.
I couldn't find FZ owner's manual, or any service table. Care to feed me a link?
