I think credit card department in all banks are stupid
Offer up to RM 300 cash back for new sign up (Citibank right now) but refused to waive <RM 300 AF and GST for exisiting cardholders

that is surely something i dun understand at all. all marketing gurus, books n seminars tell u it cost 5 times more to get a new customer than to keep an existing. yet they keep pissing off the loyal ones. so, either old school marketing is obsolete or they have found new researched evidence that it is cheaper to dump loyal ones and go spend to get new ones!

QUOTE(tishaban @ Jun 9 2014, 10:05 AM)
I've been lucky that they've waived their annual fee for me so far but I don't have a cashback card.
*
non cashback cards are less of an issue. in fact, many of the non-cashback cards now have zero af, like rewards card.

cashback or non-cashback, they have been good to me in the last 10 years for af n the other charge. now, i am not optimistic they will do the same this time around.

Citibank damn stingy.
I called and asked why no trolley bag for me yet.
They dig out the old T&C and said Clear Visa does not entitle to trolley bag during that period (early this year), only Clear Master.
Is true anyway, I noticed that when I applied too, just never thought they will be so observant.

Hi guys,

I need your help, there was a call from Citibank telemarketer, mentioned to offer me Dial For Cash (DFC) upon my Citibank cash back credit card, kind like fix installment.

Their offer is 3.13% p.a.; offer me about 20k, monthly fix installment about RM500/month for 48 months. This is attracting me as I need some cash flow now.

1. I would like to know is there any hidden charges behind that? What I understand is 2% non refundable charge from my total amount. 5% charge for any early settlement on my outstanding in future.

2. May I know what is effective interest rate? I saw from website their standard rate is around 10% p.a.; is that possible I got the offer of 3.13%, or there is something behind the telemarketer never told me on the phone? hmm.gif

3. Is there any admin fees charge every month or any charges I may not know? icon_question.gif

Thanks advance for those bro that can reply me

I think it's pretty fair la. 24k / 20k is 1.2. mean 20% for 4 years or 5% fix rate a year. this is by invite that's why u got this rate. if convert to effective rate for 4 years it's abt 9.245%.

anyway this is ur own limit la. so it's common they grant u lower rate.

Last time friends and I went for movie, one clear card only can purchased one get one free.

You can use for multiple transaction I think but there is only available one free ticket, the rest need to pay.

which mean if I buy 1 ticker per transaction for 3 times, i'll have 4 tickets in total? or 6?

annual fee just write in using Citibank online compose message can waive already. tax very unlikely they will waive for u.

I think u still can cancel credit card, but instalment will being payable.
