Question for Clear Card users, when you go to TGV or GSC on Friday to utilise the promo of buy 1 free 1, do they limit you on what movie you can choose?
I went to City Square Cathay Cineplex last Friday, they only allowed me to buy tickets for movies which were released for at least two weeks

QUOTE(Andrew G @ Apr 27 2014, 02:29 PM) What is the purpose/need to continue suffering yourself to beg like a beggar for the AF (Annual Fee) waiver of this cheap-class Citibank's credit card, when you could easily get as many as other banks' credit card with "No Annual Fee for LIFE"?? Why not choosing from banks which their credit card's AF that were easily waive-able, as through one-time phone call or email request to CS contact? Definitely won't opt/choose for credit card issuers that surely unable to waive or fake-promise that would only waive after the AF has been charged into the statement first!! sometimes if you don't make the first move, you won't yield any results. no harm trying to ask, sometimes you may end up getting more than you ask for. the word 'beggar' is not suitable since we are the customer, they beg us to use their cards. QUOTE(Perfect-Stranger @ Jun 2 2014, 04:22 PM) Btw, if working in Singapore... How does the bank (Citibank) value my salary as in SGD to MYR ? Anyone ? i believe Citibank will give you higher credit limit if you work in SG instead of Mys if your pay is at least SGD 2.5k. if your pay is SGD 2k, i think they may not even want to approve your application since the cost of living is so high in SG

QUOTE(Perfect-Stranger @ Jun 3 2014, 09:15 AM) My salary definitely more than that. But still gt rejected. Other banks no issue, just this Citibank @@ are you holding too many cards or having high commitment? these may be the reasons. anyway, citibank cards are nothing to shout about except for their Clear Card which may suit certain peoples' need. i got citibank card but i applied other banks' cards also get rejected, it is up to their credit evaluation team to decide whether to grant us a credit card

QUOTE(Perfect-Stranger @ Jun 4 2014, 09:14 AM) No idea. Not sure whether it has anything to do with my house loan. Some more I don't have any sort of records on my income input in Malaysia, I guess they put me on the so called "High Risk" group do you have any existing cc held more than 1 year? if don't have then it should be the reason because my friend just got rejected due to this reason

QUOTE(yw46 @ Jun 9 2014, 03:22 PM) Citibank damn stingy. I called and asked why no trolley bag for me yet. They dig out the old T&C and said Clear Visa does not entitle to trolley bag during that period (early this year), only Clear Master. Is true anyway, I noticed that when I applied too, just never thought they will be so observant. you know there was such t&c, why you still signed up for it? should have opted for the Clear Mastercard

QUOTE(fly126 @ Jul 1 2014, 12:38 PM) No CL Increment... Recently, they Offered ME Card Upgrade (Clear card to Rewards Plat.) they give me 60% more CL Citibank always like to give credit limit increase. They quietly increased my installment limit from 0 to 3500 then 12500 while I never requested for it. Ask them to remove it but never listen, until I complained to Bank Negara then only want to do it for me.

for my clear card, they said i did not spend 1.5k in the preceeding year and they did not want to waive annual fee for me unless i hit that target, not to mention that they wont waive annual fee for me.
therefore, i have cancelled the card, the gst charged will be reversed

i used to have the clear card as well, the first year i spent more than RM1500 within 60 days to get a free luggage bag, then Citibank waived the AF on 1st year anniversary. on the 2nd year, i spent a few hundred only, Citibank refused to waive AF, therefore i cancelled it. The CS asked me to spend RM1500 then only waive AF for me, i did not want so i cancelled it

QUOTE(beyond86 @ Jun 18 2015, 03:23 PM) Im using Citibank CashBack Platinum, got 28" & 20" luggage bags last years with swipe RM4000. This year called to waive AF but they approved. Im thinking they won't let us cancel because we have took their luggage bags, die die make sure continue to use at least few years because you spent rm4k, they will still retain you. i did not spend after i took the luggage, therefore they refused to grant me further waiver
