u lucky, I need to stay, becos my cash back is rm 45.xx ...
if I cancel, my cash back all gone~
and they charge me rm 50 gov tax d...
really damn...

now wan call to cancel this stupid card.
worst card I have so far.
*
I have paid for the GST last month because I can't accumulate or meet for the RM 50 rebate in block.

Therefore, I pumped all my expenses after that to ensure that it passes RM 50 this month till AF is charged.

It's a good card to have as a backup but not as the primary card at least the petrol category rebate is guaranteed (not like UOB ONE).

anyone received Citi Spend and Get  promotion offer? upto RM150 guaranteed cashback. SMS says if spend RM2500 can get RM150 =6%! Sept to Nov 2014promo, quick go register. Reply "Y7" by sms only. Last promo Mac to May was only RM50 CB.
*
Promo by SMS invitation only? I think the promo is to spend rm2500/month or rm7500 in 3 months to get rm150 CB (only 2%).

I didn't pay the AF and I called the CS after it appeared in the statement.

I don't want to pay the AF and I asked if I can continue for cancellation without even have to pay for it. They said can.
*
now only i know no need to pay..
previously i call to cancel it before AL & GST was charged to statement.

*
YES.

AF is under banks jurisdiction. GST is under government/MOF/BNM jurisdiction. To waiver AF, it depends on the bank policy and affordability.

last couple of pages say a lot of cardmembers can't get af waived these days. like i suspected, they now adopt of case-by-case attitude for af waiver, and pretty much no gst rebate at all.

for easy reference, the charges table, before gst:

for 2 cashback cards, i spend <2k a month. mainly for petrol and groceries.
i believe they gave me af waiver not becos of spending but becos i pay up every month on time.
plus, i spend more on non-cash rebate with the rewards card for insurance and utilities.
for cash rebate cards, if they refuse af waiver, bye bye it is as it does not make $ sense to keep.
rewards card, ok, no af, just pay gst using points.

yes, think i got invited. but i din bother as none of my cards will spend 3k a month for 3 months, i know.

Anyone using citi cashback platinum? Just receive my statement and they charge me the annual fees(rm195). After call in to ask for waiver, they still not willing to waive it. If cancel the card then no need to pay for the annual fees but still need to pay for the gst. Anyone face this before?
