QUOTE(TristanX @ Dec 9 2014, 11:16 AM) Got this last Friday. got the same card and a bit disappointed no custom bios release [attachmentid=4251431] No stuttering, no coil whine at 1080p maxed with my PC setup. Anway , I need you guys opinion about the low pixel/texture fill rate for this leadtek card . Will it impact perfomance a lot ? If compared as per below attachment , its looks like leadtek is having the lower rate and I have a theory that this is what causing me to get lower scores when doing 3dmark strike test . Thinking of selling this card if thats the case and get myself another g1 gaming 970. I think by removing the backplate should fix the size issue ![]() This post has been edited by shikimori: Dec 9 2014, 06:06 PM |

QUOTE(shikimori @ Dec 9 2014, 06:05 PM) got the same card and a bit disappointed no custom bios release Because Leadtek has lower factory overclock. Nope, the minmum FPS difference is 0-2 difference. Seems like 980Ti coming soon, like another one month or two? I might need to hold up from getting GTX970 now. To prevent happening like last time: Got GTX670 then GTX770 and 780 came after two months. Zzz
Currently using GTX670, so i think im still good/able to tahan 2 months. |

Zzz Even if GTX980TI launch, I still see no point or reason for Nvidia to further cut price on GTX970, which is already cheap and high in demands.Currently using GTX670, so i think im still good/able to tahan 2 months. |

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Dec 10 2014, 02:33 PM) Yes, it all depends of competition. When one control the market, they can literally control the price. The competitive price of 970 is largely perhaps of the success of 290/290X kicking Nvidia ass. |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Dec 10 2014, 02:39 PM) I thought they usually play the game of down rank and rebrand previous gen card? Actually now 290X price is same as 970 price. Some people will buy 290X if they are hardcore AMD.If that is the case, then 970 should take on 290 or 290x, still not enough to threaten 970. This is what you called down rank and rebrand. Unless of course AMD come out with totally new chip like 380/380x or 390/390x. However, AMD still very quiet eventhough nVidia already out 970 since September. And now is holiday season. I think AMD is dead. QUOTE(antaras @ Dec 10 2014, 03:53 PM) Yes, it all depends of competition. When one control the market, they can literally control the price.
