This.. my friend, is the ultimate air-cooled GTX980. Furmark stress tested for 30minutes and only recording 55c (ambient 23c). Absolutely mind-boggling.

Well, the look is definitely not for me but the temp... the temp is really very good. Especially for our hot weather here.

so sad today finish work early and went to hunt for gtx 970 only to find out it is out of stock everywhere .

Instead of getting new shiny graphics card I had to settled down with free headset and water bottle



oh well , 1 week wait pre-order is not that long for gigabyte gtx 970 g1 gaming .

Erm , is there a lot of rich people in malaysia until this card run out or just normal ?

Galaxy/Galax is big in Japan and venturing into Europe. In South East Asia, apart from Big Three (Asus, MSI and Gigabyte), only other companies selling 980/970 are Palit, Gainward and Zotac.

Palit owns Gainward, but are distributed by two different companies in Malaysia.

I had a choice between asus strix (2 days leadtime) and gigabyte gtx 970 g1 (1 Week eta). Ended up choosing
for gigabyte due to freeebies and OC ability

If its at rm 1.1k I would say its bang for buck but rm 1.5k not so hahaha . But I notice a lot of people making a jump for upgrade from older graphic card .

For me its .. kinda routine for every 7 months hahaha . From red team to green team , to red team to green team. But dayum this gtx 970 if OC can compete against stock gtx 980

Well... because you know, there are people who use their PC with a HDTV in the room in addition to monitors.

Wow prices of GTX 970 & 980 all increasing. While 290x dropping.

Thinking of selling my 280x as well and get another 970 before the 2nd hand prices dropped too low.

Better hang on to your 280x. Assuming you bought it a year ago for around RM1,100, I don't think the increase in performance justify you going through the trouble of selling the 280x and buying a new 970. You still can play games at full setting at 280x.

Got it 2nd hand at about RM750. But I guess you're right, it's still a pretty solid card.

Already sold my GTX 760 which I bought in September and then ordered the 970 which just arrived at my place a few hours ago, no time to test yet.

Grow old, less than 1.5k like 1.3k - 1.4k is max for me. Must resist the urge to buy, cuz you know, after getting GTX970, one might got for that 1440p monitor... money flying...

In a perfect world, the 970 should cost no more than RM1.4k. Too bad this is Malaysia and too bad the 970 is selling like iphones (ugh, I know).
I doubt supply will improve soon, expect until Jan or Feb 2014 before seeing a steady supply of 970s.

November and December are holiday times, obvious shortage especially since the 960 has been delayed as well and people see no reason to get a 770 right now.
