Let me simplify the TV Streaming by using just MASH UP (without installing livestream - note : incompatible issues etc)

Open MashUP click Live Streams

Go To MyXML

Click Add Playlist

Select Mash Up using filemanager

Create this XML file and save it as tv.xml
or whatever u like using notepad (win) / textedit (mac) - need this file for above step.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Rename the playlist to whatever you want i.e Malaysia TV (if you dont have thumbnail/fanart just cancel when XMBC asks you to put)

How to add Malaysia's live streaming channels. Currently 3 channels are not working namely RTM's TV1, TV2 and Al Hijrah.

thanks, it worked! thumbup.gif

If extracted and check the contents from it, link is almost the same for local channels that I posted earlier but yours have extra foreign channels. Thanks  thumbup.gif

extracted and only contains .txt file inside. I believe we could pasted it into TV.xml earlier on, replacing the streaming URLs.

just tried, called it tv1. Xml name is there but din work on both Livestreams or mashup.
that text looked too simple... possible for a specific device?

anyway, nothing missed since the channels r common ones.

You need to add
CODE
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
on top

Small issues with my RP pi , only seeing twitter icon in mashup version 1.40 and nothing else. Running gotham nightlies version:
OpenELEC-RPi.arm-devel-20140405201629-r18100-gb4cc13b

Reinstall mashup a couple of times still only seeing twitter icon. On my intel nuc no issues which also using nightlies but older version.

Any ideas guys?

For those not using pc/mac for XBMC (i.e Apple TV2, Rasberry PI, android stick / box etc)

you can upload this xml file to your own server/dropbox and call it with url

user posted image

Choose Enter a MASH UP XML URL or SET USER SOURCE for local

thanks, that will make it nice!

i actually meant in some of the channels, it has the a logo "first go" at the corner.
was just wondering if there is such a station.
but can tell from the language and subs that some are from thailand.

where to paste the xml file may depend on the device, but it works if it is within the xbmc folder.

for pc, it works if placed os->program files->xbmc->userdata.

android, can't do direct with usb drive alto there may be option shown for rootfilesystem->tmp.
it works if placed sdcard->android->data->org.xbmc.xbmc.
it may work if placed at next level org.xbmc.xbmc->files.
but it may can't read if placed deeper, like last level, userdata.

Hi guys, I've been using XBMC for quite some time using my laptop. So I know my way around it to get it works (add onn, etc). Now I'm thinking of building a HTPC. I'm low on budget, so I'm going to buy TV first. While saving money to buy a PC, I can play movies by plug in my external HDisk to TV.

My question is which brand that u guys recommend for me to use?that best to play 720p and 1080p? also, how well does a TV can serve while streaming live football from XBMC?anybody can share experience?

Now my laptop can play 720p movie and tv shows quite smooth. Only have dual core intel with 2GB RAM. Run XBMC on windows 7 ultimate. But when it comes to streaming live tv or football, the picture is quite bad.

For HTPC, I'm thinking as long as I have cope to the minimum requirement, I have no problem running XBMC right? or whats your opinion? Might as well have a better one to have better experience.

I have a 3.5" HD full with movies and tv shows, so I might have to install that one to the PC. I don't want to waste money to build or buy NAS.

Need some comment and opinion from XBMCgurus. biggrin.gif thanks!
