Hi guys, I've been using XBMC for quite some time using my laptop. So I know my way around it to get it works (add onn, etc). Now I'm thinking of building a HTPC. I'm low on budget, so I'm going to buy TV first. While saving money to buy a PC, I can play movies by plug in my external HDisk to TV.

My question is which brand that u guys recommend for me to use?that best to play 720p and 1080p? also, how well does a TV can serve while streaming live football from XBMC?anybody can share experience?

Now my laptop can play 720p movie and tv shows quite smooth. Only have dual core intel with 2GB RAM. Run XBMC on windows 7 ultimate. But when it comes to streaming live tv or football, the picture is quite bad.

For HTPC, I'm thinking as long as I have cope to the minimum requirement, I have no problem running XBMC right? or whats your opinion? Might as well have a better one to have better experience.

I have a 3.5" HD full with movies and tv shows, so I might have to install that one to the PC. I don't want to waste money to build or buy NAS.

Need some comment and opinion from XBMCgurus. thanks!

Thanks Powerwoot. Low in budget means need to buy one by one, cannot lamsam buy TV and PC. hehe. I also don't mind the HDD size for installing OS. As what I said before, I need the one that can add my existing external 3.5" HD for playing content offline. So no need to connect as external anymore. So i'm guessing the NUC suggested by arslow is not for me?

Guys, I don't know whether this questions been asked or not. I wonder if we can integrate HyppTV inside XBMC.

XBMC is not my main concern because I usually download movies and put it in my Plex server. So I can watch it with Plex app. For Live TV I can use any IPTV app available.

tried MyIPTV apk (someone sell on lyn) on FireTV and IPTV apk (from lelong). Both not working. maybe android compatibility issue. xbmc and spmc have issues on FireTV. always crash when try to run LIVE TV and Youtube videos.

Just wanna share with you guys my link for LIVE TV and LIVESTREAM. Both basically have the same channel but LIVESTREAM got more channel. I will update this from time to time on my free time. All links are found on the internet. Don't ask for EPG because I don't use it. Enjoy ya!

System > Add-ons > Enabled Add-ons > PVR Clients > PR IPTV Simple Client > Configure > Location : Remote Path (Internet Address) > M3U Playlist URL : http://tinyurl.com/ABEminLIVETV > Unselect Cache m3u at local storage > OK

-Install LiveStreamPro by Shani

Video > Add-ons > Right Click LiveStreamPro > Add-ons Setting > Add Source > Choose Source type : Enter URL > Add URL : http://tinyurl.com/ABEminLIVESTREAM > Add Source

Sorry for late reply. Been busy. Just like @alien9 said. You can use IPTV Simple client 2 to add more m3u file OR you can use Playlist Loader addon. follow this youtube tutorial. Playlist Loader

Last time I have an XML for users outside Malaysia to stream local channels. The stream link was from Tonton. Its in F4m format and you need F4M tester addon from Shani. Now seems not working maybe because we now need to login to Tonton first to view live tv. I'll post it here IF I can make it works.

If you want to host m3u file, the header should be like this



Kindly check the comma, and hashtag. Save with .m3u extension or not it doesn't matter, click RAW.



Copy the link for RAW file for example



Go to any shorten link website for example tinyurl. Paste your link there. Grab the short link generated and use it in M3U playlist URL in your IPTV setting.

Just happened to find it on the net. You may use below link in your IPTV URL



or open it your browser, copy and edit the title of the channel. I have tested few channels and so far all of them work for me.
