etigge mod his speed p8..can refer back V2..

if mod need to change rd + hanger..fd + adaptor..shifter..
fsa crank can add another chain ring..

another cheep way to mod if you need more speed..
change the gear cassette to 9 speed road bike..
as for me..I ride to be healthy..
sooo..I need to cycle 60-70 rpm to sweat..

ohh.. my ride is single speed...mu uno..
going up farlim cemetery road no issue..only die when go Itam dam..

After so much internet searching and also with the help of many LYN forum members here , i decided to not think too much again, as too much thinking sometimes muddles the mind.
Narrowing down to 3 choices and increasing my budget slightly, as i could not get a good reasonable bike at Rm750.00 to Rm1,500.00, i decided on the Java Fit 16 speed , as it had mostly what i wanted.
Sure, i could have spent Rm2,500.00 and gone for a Dahon for that speed, but i told myself that since i had 2 MTB's, all i needed was something reasonable and affordable, hence the decision.
As a Hobbyist photographer, i would not hesitate to pay 4k or more for a good Camera or Lens, but since i am not that a Cyclist, i really had not much of an idea.
Wished i could have gone with the Dahons or TErns..but i decided not to.

What i realized is that if one can increase his/her budget slightly , there is nothing like riding a bike with minimum 16speed and more will be better , as i found out at Putrajaya that i needed the extra gears for slight hill climbs, extra gears really do help .

I am sure the professionals here will be able to elaborate more..
Meanwhile i will use my MTB while at home and the Foldie when i need convince..
Oh, the butt hurts a little , hihi.. icon_rolleyes.gif

Just finished a night ride at Putrajaya. Weather's awesome albeit a bit of foul air due to the haze. I wished we have more bike

Oh that wasn't me, we were a group of 3 adult dudes. I was there around 8.30pm to maybe 11pm.

@danieltwl: Me n my mates are looking to check out Ara Damansara or Bukit Cahaya (not night ride) perhaps this weekend or so but if we go Putrajaya again we'll let u know thumbup.gif

Paging for fellow fake china Hummer users. Do you guys have this problem with the top tube quick release skewer? The one that holds the folding mechanism together, mine is like crooked after a couple of rides rclxub.gif either manufacturing defect or I locked the quick release too tight.

Has anyone replaced this with some other quick release skewers? I think it should be a standard 5mm skewer from the front or the rear wheel

Hi,
I let me know One day earlier when you guys want to cycle, because i am living very close by .
The other day i saw more then 15 riders whom i spoke to and they were kind enough to ask me if i wanted to joing them fpr a 12km ride near the lake, Putrajaya.
Had to decline politely as i want to build up my leg power..hehe..
Upper body is okay , legs need a bit of toning up... tongue.gif
Let me knw, or perhaps anyone else care to join in ...
Cheers

rm200 different

No need to compare! tongue.gif Although I am a Dahon supporter, for this case the Tern Link C7 is better than the Dahon Vybe C7s.

Hazy days at my place. Very bad, in fact. Me and wife refrain from riding this week until haze goes

The Vybe is actually the former Eco C7 which was my first foldie. I have also modded it to 27 speed. It took me to many rides and places. If I were to choose between Tern Link C7 and Dahon Eco C7, I would choose the Dahon. The new folding latch and the color is the dissapointing factor in the new Dahon Vybe. If you don't mind tbose, it is still a good ride especially the C7a.
