QUOTE(Alec.Yong @ Feb 27 2014, 11:03 AM) From my understanding, the features of this MBB 2 Premier VI is same with the generic VI. Just wonder why there didn't publish it in the website. Thanks for sharing your experience. I don't really spend 80k annually. Now that MAS doesn't fly to LAX, I'm thinking whether it's worth it to apply for the card just for the enrich points conversion. As for the annual fee, my experience is, it can't be waive for WMC and VI... The was a time where my WMC yearly spending was less than RM120K, they charge me annual fee. I wrote a letter to the Card Centre to request for the waiver, based on my total spending was more than RM200k among all my MBB cards, but still rejected by them. They sent an official letter to me by post, saying that they can not waive it...End up, I've to paid for the RM1K... Let's say I've this card. Can I cancel other cards and transfer the points to this card? How long can the enrich points last after conversion from TP? Thanks if anyone can answer them. |

I can't comment on supplementary cards as I've never had any.But what's the reason for consolidating points between the 2? In the past if I've redeemed something for say 100K TP, if my Amex and MC had 80K and 20K respectively I just put both cards on the redemption form. Not sure how it works when you cancel the cards .. but it doesn't make sense if they let you move the TP to another card where you can then redeem at higher value (ie in this case 4.5K TP vs/ 7K TP for redeeming Enrich) |

Or request for the TP to be transferred to another card upon the card termination.I m going to terminate my current generic VI once I get the MBB 2 Premier Cards.. |

Thank you. the redemption process will consolidate all your accounts automatically and make average withdrawal.during redemption, just give 1 of your principle card (amex or mc/visa) * Refer to attached photo, first card is principle, second card is supplementary. I gave them the principal during redeeming Parkson voucher, over the CS counter. This post has been edited by herc: Feb 27 2014, 02:35 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

Ah, dilemna. I just applied for the Maybank VISA infinte and the AMEX platinum card last november. I also having the AMEX 2 card for the 5% weekend rebate. I went for the AMEX platinum cause I want the unlimited plaza premier lounge access.
I have paid the RM 50 GST for both VI and AMEX platinum. So if i were to switch to this new 2 card combo, I have to pay another RM 50x2 again? Maybe I should not switch then. I know I can hit the RM50k per annum spending on VI, but now the 2card combo requires RM80k, not sure if I can hit that. Maybe I should just stay with my current VI with Amex Platinum, and still keep using the mayban amex 2 card for weekend 5% rebate. And yeah, i was told my one maybank officer over the counter, to maximise points, all the 5x points u've earned with Amex 2 card, just cancel them, they will xfer to ur remaining maybank card, so if it's VI, then ur treatpoints value will increase cause it will qualify u to be able to redeem enrich miles at lower value. He said it's been done before, but he's not suggesting me to do it, hehe. |
