Any idea on MBB cards issued in other countries, ie, Singapore, Brunei, Philipines? All using 'Maybank'?

I do remember for the past ten years ago, they were using 'Maybank', when I got my first MBB card. Then don't know change to 'Maybankard'..

Looking at Google Image search .. looks like Singapore cards at least use "Maybank" as well as "Maybankard" as the logo.

Doesn't bother me either way really, would be nice to be consistent though.

Still doesn't mention that the card comes together with the VI , and some dodgy English

Why I not in their list

I guess Maybank must have printed the cards much much earlier (last year) and only decided to launch it after the Christmas and CNY Festive seasons. According to the MBB people I spoke to, currently the MBB 2 Cards Premier still at soft launch stage. Official launching next month.

I m sure that MBB kept a lot of stocks. So far I've been requested many times of replacement of WMC, and for the latest replacement card, still using the old font of 'Maybankard'.....

the website states amex reserve will get 5x TP for oversea transaction. nothing mentioned about VI 5x tp oversea transaction. difficult to believe unless it's stated in black and white.

btw, can you call mbb to waive the annual fee if you don't achieve the 80k spending? anyone tried base on experience with VI or MWC?

From my understanding, the features of this MBB 2 Premier VI is same with the generic VI. Just wonder why there didn't publish it in the website.

As for the annual fee, my experience is, it can't be waive for WMC and VI... The was a time where my WMC yearly spending was less than RM120K, they charge me annual fee. I wrote a letter to the Card Centre to request for the waiver, based on my total spending was more than RM200k among all my MBB cards, but still rejected by them. They sent an official letter to me by post, saying that they can not waive it...End up, I've to paid for the RM1K...

Normally once the card is approved, it will automatic appear in maybank2u.. i just check my account 10 mins ago, still nothing.. so i guess it still pending also

Even it's approved by today, M2U can't show it immediately right? At least have to wait till tomorrow then only can see it.

Up to 14 days? You mean new application without existing MBB card?

That's what they told me on the phone yesterday when I went to check the status.

I already hold MBB 2 and VI and didn't submit any additional documents

Guess what? I just called card centre few mins ago, and was told by the cs the add on card is already approved. They are in the process to emboss the cards now. Hopefull can get it by tomorrow as I requested them to send to One Utama card centre for my to collect.

It's understood that new application will take up to 14 days to process, but if add on card still need such long time, seems a bit...

I suggest you to call them to speed up the progress, told them you need the card urgently, by right as an existing card member, it shall be done it in short time lah...

No, cant see any new card number in M2U. I think it's just get approved by today. Anyway, i will check again in M2U by tomorrow.. Hehe...

I just rang them , they said still processing my application. ask me to call me sometime weekend to check the status again. haha..
