Those playing intense games, the switches last shorter. Easily breakdown because you don't let the key switches rest between each keypress. laugh.gif
So, just don't get bother with the Cherry switch when it will fails. It fails then you change it.

Hopefully mine dont die that fast, as I do spam alot in my gaming sweat.gif
What are the damage for replacing these switches ?

It looks nice, the F8 and F9 distance is far. Any reason for that?

Those switches are cheap I believe, only few RM/pc (RM2++), the only thing is the soldering part, I have seen video of how they solder those switches, seems easy from the look of it... haha... but my soldering skills is darn poor, will probably just ask others to do it for me sweat.gif
If I can take the switch apart without de-soldering that will be nice, I have seen the innards before (from video), but wonder if the metal contact part is the same as the switch's soldering contact, which still needs de-soldering if that part is worn out/broken. doh.gif

I've got the keycool 87 from taobao.
You buy things through taobao from an agent. Find one from the classifieds subforum and get a quote. The first one tried to scam me by adding extra charges for shipping even though the taobao website said nationwide (China) shipping was free and his nick starts with "c".

Mkb is considered an electronic item and you will need to pay sensitive handling fee of RM25 on top of the normal fee. Agents will not take responsibility if items are lost/stolen during shipping(all of them, its in the terms of service) and the warranty is practically useless since you have to ship it to China for returns/repairs.

Find other agent, no need pay sensitive handling fee.

if you buy Guangzhou based, normally can nego the shipping fee. 15RMB become 8RMB, for example.

i agree with kai. look for other agent.
all the keyboards i buy from taobao was never categorized as sensitive.
the only time i was quoted sensitive charge was when i put in victorinox oil in my purchase. that is liquid and thus it is sensitive item.
but of course i give up buying that oil and bought from a local seller instead tongue.gif

Any bosses know why my KBT Oni spacebar feeling really mushy? Like mushier than ever.

I already changed back to the original keycap because if I use other keycaps it'll get stuck there. Then if I rotate the keycap (reverse slant) then it'll get stuck, like halfway down the key when I press without dithering (normally I tap downwards with my key, but if I hit and pullback hard & fast it won't happen).

Since I already figured out how to open it up, will remounting the switch (it's mounted upside down currently) help? I have a cheapo solder at home, so probably can try tonight.

You can't feel the beauty from one of them, too bad. The pictures look small to me, since it fits my desktop 8" screen nicely.
