Hi fren,

If my processor still in warranty, is it ok to change & use aftermkt cpu cooler?

Will it have any considerable effect on the cpu noise, i.e noise become reduce than before?  hmm.gif
*
lol bro, your cpu wont make noise, it's the fan that causes the noise. Also, there isn't any notice saying that using aftermarket cooler will void your warranty. No worries tongue.gif

Hi there,
Can anyone tell me who should I look for if I've RMA problem regarding Cooler Master? I need someone in charge to talk to me.

Story:
On 1-April-2009, my customer bought a Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1000W (Back in 2009, this would cost a bomb), on 4-November-2013, the PSU died and I sent for RMA with proof of purchase at the retailer.

They took 4 to 5 months to RMA it and they called him on 16-April-2014 and they told him Cooler Master unable to repair the faulty PSU, and asked whether my customer would accept a replacement from Cooler Master. Of course, my customer replied, and so he went to the retailer just now and guess what...

The retailer told him Cooler Master instructed them to replace the faulty Real Power Pro 1000W with a Cooler Master GX-650.....

But no choice, because he was unable to reach me just now, so he told them he will take back and wait for further action from CM, the GX650 is a brand new unit but when he took the PSU to my house, I asked him, "Do you think this thing able to handle your Haswell + GTX770 SLI? Good Luck"

So....now we're both pissed off and we need an answer from Cooler Master, what is the reason that we have to pay premium for 5 years warranty while you can't get it repaired or replaced? Sent in a 1000W and replaced with a 650W?? Best thing is, a 650W that can't handle the current system of my customer.

Hi RoyRF, yes it's maintenance free and you don't need to replace the coolant inside the water loop. nod.gif

To TS, been using a Hyper212X for couple of months, yesterday decided to change the default fan (Blade Master?) and found some residues.

The picture below there's two tones on the blades, the darker ones appear to be oily residues and are on all the blades. Lubricant leak?

Hi there, thanks for the prompt reply.

With that said, you mean with your seidon or any 3rd party rads? If so, normal rad or slim profile rad?

Thanks smile.gif

Hi MatchesMalone, it seems to be so. Does the fan spinning shows any sign of slow down?

CM Malaysia contacted me via FB PM and I already provided them the serial number of the old and new PSU, with date of purchase, date of RMA, and date of collection.
I wish to know whether is the retailer cheating customer or CM really unable to fix the 1000W and get a GX650W as replacement.

It still spins at 2000-2100RPM max speed, however I'm not risking using it again. Luckily the leak wasn't extensive enough to spill out of the fan.

If the details provided not stored in CM database, the retailer sure naik kereta d sweat.gif

Hi MatchesMalone, if the item is still within the period of warranty cover, you may bring it to the retailer to request RMA nod.gif

It is, does the RMA process require the whole set to be returned or just the fan?
