David moyes is just too lenient to under performing players... keep giving them chances like tom cleverley, young, valencia. If I were him I just put wilfried zaha, lingaard and get petrucci or put any promising fresh blood into the team. These young blood will provide pace and inject some flair. What I see is united's flair is gone... playing sooooooo freaking rigid... with no creativity... After all moyes has nothing to lose right? At least give these youngsters some first team experience because no matter how hard we try, we are losing anyway... might as well just give these youngsters a chance.. I think moyes successfully brainwash me into a midtable thinking..

Moyes lenient? Might be. The only reason I can come out is his preference for English player. They are just, at this moment, is crap, compared to few season back. It just sad to see Kagawa just sitting there warming up the bench while Cleverley and Young 'terrorizing' defence in and out.

It is even sad seeing Welbeck doing his bag of tricks and left the ball behind...

Yea. Hope there are more translated videos of Cruyff's discussion on tactic. Here is another one that kind of very similar to the problem we are having.

David Moyes to remain as Manchester United boss

QUOTE
David Moyes remains the manager of Manchester United despite speculation to the contrary.
Rumours of an imminent announcement on the New York Stock Exchange spread on social media on Wednesday, with the suggestion it would state that Moyes was to leave the club following Tuesday night’s 2-0 defeat to Olympiacos in the Champions League.

The odds on Moyes being the next Premier League manager to leave his post shortened dramatically, but Press Association Sport understands the Scot is still very much in charge.
United are baffled by the reports that their manager was set to leave his position.
The club have always made it clear that Moyes will be given time to prove that he is the right man to maintain the success delivered by predecessor Alex Ferguson.

olimpiakos boss 2-0 up: standing up shouting and managing players
Moyes 2-0 down: walking around shaking his head and sitting on the bench...
Surely this is not right FFS

that's the difference between SAF and Moyes.
SAF would be riling the boys, the ref, and anyone around him.....then activate Fergietime™

rarely see calm managers when losing, even calm carlo would be trying to get his boys to do something.

i always think Moyes is a decent manager, decent man.. but at his best shot so far, he is proven not good enough to be a United manager. given him more time and massive transfer budget, he'll definitely improve our team.

but what sort of improvement? not a rapid one.. at best this season, we are looking for 5th position. maybe with 'some' improvement, we are looking for 3rd-4th next 2 seasons. not good enough for me..

Glazers need draw up contingency plan now. pls approach somebody like Klopp, discreetly. but let Moyes do his job peacefully right now..

sadly, any kind of wins are like some kind of achievement right now..

Maybe Moyes was recommended by Fergie knowing that Moyes would fail and then further elevate Fergie's credibility.

nobody expect its going to be this bad but any little improvement is still an improvement

if we finish 5th this season its good enaugh coz it mean we are jumping 2 places and getting closer to team above. that also mean we are improving compared to probably everton and spurs.

end of the season moyes should get an evaluation of his jobs and then the board should set minimum target for next season whether its title challanger or just top 4. entering half a season we should able to see clearly where we are at. if it as bad as this season then moyes really should be sacked as enaugh time hv been given.

as for CL theres still 50-50 chances we going to next round.

I think the media has been really nice to him up until now. If he is not British, the media would have been firing on all cylinders from last December onward.

Not really. They have been questioning him every step of the way. But then again, this is the united hotseat and he is a new manager with no track record, so you expect that.

50 - 50 is when it's at 0 - 0. When you are down by 2 goals, it's never a 50-50...

There is a chance that we might go through, only IF...the players are motivated and Moyes deploys the right tactics. 2-0 is not really a huge margin because in Europe, everything is possible.

Inb4 reminisces of Liverpool's 0-3 AC Milan at half-time lol.

But then again, the lads needs to keep their head together, I believe we can still make it. Win it ugly, I don't mind. Most important that we win the UCL win our home game against the Greeks.

I just can't understand all these nonsense about "improvement". FFS this is United we are talking about, a team that won the league by a mile with the same squad! Dropped out of all cup competition and finish outside of Top 4 is not an improvement! How can the club let some incompetence manager dragged down the team to his level and call it an improvement when he can finish the league slightly higher than his previous club? We are talking about a club that won trophy year after year being compared to some forever-mid-table-team FFS. shakehead.gif

Enough is enough, just get rid of the cancer/poison/stumbling block that caused all these negativity at Old Trafford and start anew next season with someone who can match the United's ambition! cool2.gif

Imo,Moyes should play like this:

de Gea
Rafael Smalling/Evans Jones Evra (Replace with a balanced left back when he has left the team tongue.gif )

Carrick Fellaini

Rooney Mata Januzaj

van Persie

4-2-3-1
But Moyes stubborn lol.Play with his "Cap Ayam" tactic, everytime i watch United match,i feel angry when they are behind cry.gif
And Moyes even play the ineffective "ball chaser" Cleverley and Young. cry.gif

David Moyes' record-breaking season

Manchester United’s 2-0 defeat to Olympiakos on Tuesday was their first ever loss to Greek opposition, adding to the list of records and landmarks set in David Moyes’ first season at Old Trafford.

The Premier League champions have suffered also historic defeats to West Bromwich Albion, Everton, Newcastle, Swansea and Stoke.

Meanwhile, Moyes registered the club’s best away win in Europe for more than half a century, broke their transfer record and awarded the most lucrative contract ever at Old Trafford.

Here is how various milestones have been set in an eventful six months:

Aug. 11 -- Manchester United 2-0 Wigan: Moyes becomes the first United manager to win a trophy in his competitive debut in charge, lifting the Community Shield courtesy of two goals from Robin van Persie.

Aug. 17 -- Swansea City 1-4 Manchester United: Moyes becomes the first United manager since Dave Sexton, who beat Birmingham 4-1 in 1977, to make a winning start in the league.

Sep. 22 -- Manchester City 4-1 Manchester United: United equal their heaviest defeat at the Etihad Stadium. It is their joint biggest loss away to City since 1989.

Sept. 28 -- Manchester United 1-2 West Bromwich Albion: United lose at Old Trafford to Albion for the first time in 35 years, since Ron Atkinson’s Baggies beat Sexton’s side 5-3 in 1978. United are 12th after making their worst start to a league season since 1989-90.

Nov. 27 -- Bayer Leverkusen 0-5 Manchester United: Moyes records his biggest win and United’s biggest away from home in the European Cup since the Busby Babes beat Ireland’s Shamrock Rovers 6-0 in 1957, 56 years earlier.

Dec. 4 -- Manchester United 0-1 Everton: Everton, who had only taken one point from their previous seven trips to Old Trafford, win away at United for the first time since the first week of the inaugural Premier League season, when they triumphed 3-0 in 1992.

Dec. 8 -- Manchester United 0-1 Newcastle United: Yohan Cabaye’s goal means Newcastle win at Old Trafford for the first time in 41 years. They had gone 32 games away at United without tasting victory since 1972. It means United lose successive home Premier League games for the first time since 2002.

Jan. 4 -- Manchester United 1-2 Swansea: Michael Laudrup’s side knock Moyes’ team out of the FA Cup, courtesy of Wilfried Bony’s last-minute goal, as Swansea, who first visited Old Trafford in 1931, finally record their first win there. It is only the second time since 1984 that United go out of the FA Cup in the third round.

Jan. 7 -- Sunderland 2-1 Manchester United: United, who were also beaten by Tottenham on New Year’s Day, lose three successive games for the first time since 2001 with defeat in the Capital One Cup semifinal first leg.

Jan. 24 -- Juan Mata joins from Chelsea for 37.1 million pounds. It breaks United’s transfer record, set when Dimitar Berbatov came from Tottenham in 2008 for 30.75 million pounds. Together with the summer signing of Marouane Fellaini for 27.5 million pounds, it takes United’s spending for the season to 64.6 million pounds -- another club record.

Feb. 1 -- Stoke City 2-1 Manchester United: Stoke, who had only taken one point from 11 previous Premier League games against United, defeat them for the first time in the league since 1984. It means United have made their worst start to a season, over 24 league games, in the Premier League era.

Feb. 21 -- Wayne Rooney signs a five-and-a-half year deal which, at 300,000 pounds per week, makes him the best paid player in United’s history. As it is worth around 85 million pounds by the time it expires in 2019, it is the biggest contract ever awarded by an English club.

Feb. 25 -- Olympiakos 2-0 Manchester United: Olympiakos become the first Greek side ever to beat United in European competition.
