QUOTE(wayne @ Jan 6 2017, 03:06 PM)
hi guys, i just got my beelink mx3 ii few days back, and i was using a Venz V10 player from year 2009, its a Realtek Chip (RTD1185) with 2GB NAND flash storage. there is also no capabilities to install software. Its those old

So i tested some movie files on both to compare. Was suprised the old Venz player produce much better video quality in terms of details and colour reproduction compared to the beelink. and it was able to take DTS or AC3 audio.
Just wondering why because theoretically the beelink should do better in terms of tech? or is it because the old player is fully using HW decoder and the newer players are all on Android based ?

sorry if my terminologies are off, not very good at this stuff haha.

Hard to get really decent AVR + Speakers capable of handling up to Dolby Atmos & DTS:X for under RM3K.. Even for 5.1/5.2 configurations... Popular brands would be Onkyo, Denon & Yamaha.. Perhaps, branded Home Theaters instead? Say from Sony or Samsung. Need to browse around audio shops for more.

Hi there,

Looking to get an android box for myself. It will be connected to the wifi as LAN is too messy.

Which android box would you guys recommend. Something below RM500. For a normal 40" LED TV

Is there any shop that able to revive my Android STB?
I think its GPU/chipset dying cause it produces artifacts on the screen...

I think I might bought a faulty unit because I only use it yesterday and this morning it's already dead.

If it's not the HDMI cable/TV... Then I suspect you bought a lemon unit.. It was shipped in and as a result, no warranty.. AFAIK, there aren't repairmen for android boxes as yet.. If spoilt? either one claims warranty or moneyflies.gif moneyflies.gif
Sorry.

Dead as in no power light at the box, nothing on tv or ??

Did it ever worked?

If dead dead, bought overseas, habis.

If bought online, try refund or replacment.

Unlikely u can find repair service locally.

It's working yesterday. But today it just freeze with graphical artifacts.
I had to unplug and plug in to reboot. Unfortunately it wont boot up after several attempt ON/OFF process...
In the end, only the LED turned ON but my TV didnt detect any video input from HDMI.
Bear in mind, the freeze and artifacts also happens in Android recovery boot menu.

Did the seller scammed me? Because all the Lazada review are OK to me...

Try unpluging the tv power.

Sometimes, the tv cannot detect, need a reset.

If that is not the problem, it has to be the box.

OR... the power adapter is faulty, which is quite common.
